Steve Gunn band and heron oblivion tour

Forums:

Looks like they're playing the gamh tonight, which will probably end up being the show of the tour.

i saw them at the space bar in San Diego on Sunday and it was a hell of a steal for $15, even with missing the Jim elkington solo acoustic opener due to incorrectly listed start times.

in fact a lot about this tour wasn't well advertised.

ateix and a least one other poster on this board had me convinced the Gunn set would b an acoustic duet with elkington so it sure was a pleasant surprise when he came on with a full band after the oblivion as I originally had thought and hoped was gonna b the case.

Both bands were great musicians, very hip and should have bright futures!

Doubt there was more than 50 people there, if that, but I sure was grateful to b one of them.

i was disappointed to have missed elkington solo but it was cool to get to chat with him a little bit between sets, about Richard Thompson mostly.

nice guy and solid musician.

Y'all don't want to miss out on this if u can help it.

if u run into elkington, tell him the rt fan who missed his set in San Diego sent u.

Ateix, can u hear me?

can u feel me near u?

I think SG played The Chapel recently but I missed it. Missing this show as well because of $timing but I'm hoping to get a ticket for

Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile in Oct.

I saw Cian Nugent last year after reading about him here from Ateix and he did not disappoint.

Ateix is a generous dude with  wonderfully eclectic taste in music.

The butthurt in this community need to lighten up.

Yeah, this site really benefits from his presence.

Remember when I drove to Eugene on a whim to see kikagaku moyo based on the thread he started about them?

boy, was that a wacky good time!

Hope u manage to make it to vile & Barnett at the fox.

that should b really good.

Chapel show in San Francisco is TONIGHT

It's actually at the GAMH
