My first time at SPAC was for the GD, 88. We were somewhere on the flat part of the lawn, under a speaker they had set up. I had no idea where the pavilion was. The band could have been in Montreal.
Some go for the show. Some go to hang out with their friends. Some go to get out of the house. Some go to visit a cherished venue. Some go to visit a town or city.
Only drug addicts and half-wits go just for the drugs.
Had a great time, love the spac! Sound on the lawn was fine, the view not so much, but what is there to really look at anyway? Big screens on the outside of the barn if you want to see it. First set was good, second was even better. Troy Pistachio killed it!
Definitely, at the very least it would make going to most jam band concerts enjoyable.
On the other hand, I would love to see you try to go to a show without dosing.
