So Long Hoody Mafia

Forums:

I think Phil wore them down. He played so often at Terrapin Crossroads that eventually the have to be up front at every show people got tired and had to take a night off to do something else or stay home.

The sound in front of the curtain is excellent.

wow, even the txr rail riders are over it...im surprised it took this long, whenever i spoke to any of them they always seemed really serious about the music and just as critical as most zoners

when nelson is back every one of those guys and gals will be on the rail faster than you can say "kick in the head"

They're still there. A few are originals/long-timers and almost all are regulars, but the area right in front still fills right away about three-deep with people who get there early and wait in line, excited about the very good and satisfying music and brilliant, legendary bass playing they're going to hear.

Different faces but there for the same reasons as ever, so same as it ever was.

I thought they were gone some time ago due to someone complaining about them all the time to those at the roads?

Ugly rumor? Who knows?

The hoody thing was banned a while ago, but the same folks, more or lesh, still want to be up front.

Sound at the rail sucks at TXR, just like most places.  All you hear is the monitors in front of you.  Halfway back to the curtain to all the way to the curtain is great sound. Room to move over on the left side(stage right) and the sound is pretty good over there also.

did they ban good music at txr?

seems like the only thing they're searching for any longer is that cash flow....get it while ya can jill n phil.

i do not understand why they don't offer different types of music, you know, like a normal club?

they've had sturgill, los lobos, and.....not much else that I've noticed.

i get it its a deadhead club...but seems that genre, especially in the bay area is way played out and over saturated. no?

No.

if you say so pal.

obviously people will attend anything where a FOTD is played.

People seem to be attending so Phil must be doing something right.

The people close enough to attend are doing something right.

Marin is ritz and glitz.

Start savin your change man.

Don't need change at a free show. Just gas and bridge toll.

The valet is free.

Nothing better than free...  How far are you from TXR.. the free shows must be some cash ploy to get people hooked on the music so they come back and spend spend spend..

Where are all the new viva posters at anyway???

pretty sure there won't be any new viva posters.....maybe if phil started melting faces again, that'd probably help.

I think I'm thirty miles away. About $11 per trip.

Please direct your rhetorical Viva questions to admin.

There were never going to be any new Viva posters.

We were lied to. Can't you sheeple see that?

Time for admin to start processing all those waiting applications..

Fog, are you capable of starting your own thread to discuss dbmb enrollment.

This thread is about Marinites.
