Special EARLY BIRD tickets (save 20% on admission AND camping) available now only by using the promo code "Cubensis". Go to skullandrosesfestival.com , select the early bird special on the right, which takes you to a pricing page. Under "Camping Pass" click the link to purchase early bird tickets, which will take you to an eventbrite page. Click the green "tickets" button and then type the word "Cubensis" where it says "enter promo code". THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO BUY DISCOUNT TICKETS, and ends on midnight Feb 15.
Benefits for purchasing Early Bird: BIG DISCOUNT - $79.95 - 20% OFF!! On-Sale Price = $99.95 and discounted camping. GROUP CAMPING - Cubensis Early Bird Campers will be grouped together and car camp near stages inside the show. Random by arrival once it goes on sale. Early Birds will get the best spots - FOR SURE!!!
I think the Melvin JGB show with Leo show will be on the sunday as it looks like Leo is playing up north at the Sweetwater on 4/7 and 4/8. We may try for that day. The alcohol policy is a bit off putting for a 3 day camping festival.
It means only car camping sites. You cannot hike in with your tent (unless you are sharing a site). Each space is 10' x 30' and can hold one car and as many tents as will fit in the space.
I already bought a camp site, Gfish. I bought it early, so I should have one of the grass sites near the stage. So far it is just my tent and my car. You are welcome to pitch your own tent on my site. I think you can leave your car in the day parking and purchase a general pass. Once the car camping cars come in they cannot leave, but I could pick you up in the lot on my way in. Having a car in the day lot would be good if needed to get supplies (only 2 nights, so should be able to bring everything in).
I wonder if JK is jealous that his name was left off the poster. He should have known that selling his soul to Bobby and Furthur would ultimately leave him in obscurity. A cautionary tale to other cover band frontmen.
Yes, Gfish, I'm in the Cubensis early bird group. I think camp sites there are still available (and can be purchased by following the directions in aqua above). I will measure my car today to make sure there will be room for 2 tents, but 10 x 30 seems like enough space for a car and 2 tents.
Im not sure what the shade situation is there. An EZ-up for shade cover may be useful - do you have one? I have some camp chairs I can bring.
I am Doing The Early Bird pass but with No Camping as i Live not too far away and i want my Vehicle accessable To drive back and forth from home and stores as i please etc.
Anyone know when tent camping went away at Emma Woods State Beach? Apparently there is only self contained car camping now. I camped there for the shows in 85' and 87'. It offered a respite from the all night party and a chance to catch a few winks.
That's a lot of Grateful Dead cover bands. I'm not sure if I'm more amazed that there are that many GD cover bands, or that there are so many more that AREN'T playing that festival.
My oldest friend is the bass player in Supplication. He'll have to represent for the both of us.
I just pulled the trigger on a ticket for Sunday. Single day tickets are $60 until April 3rd and then they go up to $75. I'm looking forward to meeting folks and seeing Zooey again.
Bump for the long range forecast. Possibility of rain late Friday into early Saturday with temps in the low 60s at the beach. Sunday looks clear with temps in the mid 60s.
I ended up bailing, too. I had planned to camp but it was a little too cold for me, and it rained the first night. It was nice during the day, though. This photo is from the Cubensis FB page and it looks like there was a good turnout for the headliners.
