I love seeing the left suddenly show support for failed Republican Presidential candidates that they demonized as the devil when it was convenient to do so.
Do you people actually stand for anything? Or is it all situational?
>that they demonized as the devil when it was convenient to do so

Or you fucking serious?? It was the Bush's GOP that completely trashed McCain's military and political record, then convinced him that if he supported GWB(including speaking at the RNC) his turn was next. Then along came Palin for the certain loss that was followed by 8 years of blaming Obama for GWB's failed presidency.
I think Thom was hoping for a Hillary win. He doesn't really want to support Trump or condone the Milos or James of the alt-right but just like the 'anyone but Hillary contingent' they feel the need to defend Trump by 'not defending Trump'.
Likewise, why is one of THE top radio personalities, Mark Levin -- often referred to as "The Great One" -- always willing to offer up nothing but accolades and support for Hannity?
>> Then why do all his random callers refer to him as a "great American"? <<
Do you listen to every minute of every show? How do you purport to make this conclusion?

I think your sarcasm meter is out of batteries this morning ned, it is fun to agree with you .... sometimes :-)
One of the only AM radio stations I can regularly pick up is 1100 KOA out of Grand Junction. Starts in the morning with Glenn Beck, then Rush, Hannity, Levin, then Savage. Throw Laura Ingram in there somewhere too.
It is educational to listen to the talking points the right are being spoon fed ... mostly just rhetoric in an angry / whiny manner that only serves as an "accelerant".

Most everything is situational by definition isn't it? Case in point, evangelical right and conservatives sell their souls for a man-child that in any other situation or point in time, they wouldn't let in their homes to fix their cable tv much less vote for him to be President.
In this case, it's not just the left, but independents as well who are simply pleased that someone in the GOP ranks has the balls to stand up and say the emperor has no clothes. In the case of McCain being a failed candidate, you are correct. I'm an independent who leans to social progress yet has a fiscally conservative bend. I was intrigued by McCain's candidacy which he promptly blew with his VP pick of what's her name.
In terms of actually standing for anything, what is it from 45's history is that you Thom2 stand for: (Pick any of the following:)
Misogyny
Failed businesses leading to burning many others including small contractors all the way up to large banks while walking away with up to a 20 year federal tax break
