Scum King's Letter To Pelosi

Forums:

Unbelievable unhinged adolescent tantrum. This is the guy we decided should hold the nuclear codes ?  My dog has better temperament. And repubs act as if he's hitler, stalin or jong-un  --  if they speak out against him, them and their family's will disappear. It's really incredible how its entirely red vs blue. Not a spine in the entire republikan party.

"You have cheapened the importance of the very ugly word, impeachment!"   -- WTF does that even mean ?

Trump is worried and having a major meltdown.

How dare anyone hold him accountable?!

obviously the Russian Oligarchs own the GOP too.

impeached but not removed.

pelosi giving the scumbag a boost for 2020 w/ her sorry ass 2 articles, rubber stamping his corporate trade deal and his disgusting military budget.

is this what's called getting stuff done in congress, dems supporting the trump agenda?

Congress has passed hundreds pieces of legislation, all sitting on MoscowMitch’s desk. You can’t be that clueless, Berniebro.

Averting another government shut down and passing a budget that’s not perfect is okay for now.

and the Impeachment is a stain on trump’s reign.

The house of representatives can multitask.

Whatcha gonna do when your cult leader Bernie votes for the less than perfect budget bill?

another centrist for trumps agenda. come on, nancy.

you think bernie is going to vote for trump's military budget? lol. somebody has to resist, since you obviously aren't.

maybe next decade we can have nice things?

"And repubs act as if he's hitler, stalin or jong-un  --  if they speak out against him, them and their family's will disappear."

Yes, that is an incredibly accurate account of the situation.  Thank God that someone knows.

Lol. Trump presidency has been stained since his first day in office. Impeachment means literally nothing at all. He will tap dance to a victory in the senate and this will just go down as another loss and waste of time for the Democrats. Trump will be stronger than ever in the up coming election as a result. But keep thinking Congress is working hard Nancy. They're just pretending like they are doing something. One day of hearings isn't exactly hard work. They have like 12 day paid recess coming up anyways

The contrast between how the Republican Party spoke of trump before his nomination vs after tells you all you need to know about the situation

^timpane is right. now it's going to be a landslide

Im thinking Pelosi should have trusted her gut on the impeachment.  She bent to the pressure within her party and now it's all slipping away.

Good luck when little donnie 'legalizes it' meanwhile biden who will bet the nomination,  comes out looking like an out of touch dinosaur still against it claims its a gateway drug

Averting another government shut down and passing a budget that’s not perfect is okay for now.

the idea that trumps no no phone call is a bigger deal than increasing a military budget that by design supports the biggest terrorist operation in the history of the world just blows my mind

continuing a war which is 100% confirmed to have been based on lies that has no real goal and has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians continued

financial/arms support for saudi arabias genocide in yemen

money to continue fighting a war in syria we are supposed to be pulling out of

and money to militarize "space" and seek american dominance

"oh its not perfect, the budget still continues to fund the largest machine of war, death and suffering in the world but at least the government wont shut down and my tiny little meaningless suburban american life can continue in comfort"

krystal ball lays it out in a way i couldnt even dream of coming close to. when she gets on a roll its something to behold.

I think right now it's going to go down as a letter from a two-bit dictator of a banana republic," he told Cooper. "It has that kind of quality to it."

"Think about our history and the people we've had, the amount of letters," Gergen continued, noting the historic documents left behind by past presidents.

"Think about Donald Trump's letters...going up against Jefferson, up against Lincoln on the second inaugural or Gettysburg, up against, Franklin Roosevelt and the fireside chats, Jack Kennedy and his inaugural, Ronald Reagan at Pointe du Hoc."

"This is going to be in those annals as a representation of this president" Gergen said.

"For a man who apparently, we were told by his close folks, that he cares mostly about his legacy these days?" Gergen asked. "This is what he's contributing to his legacy?"

In the letter, Trump "More due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials," and argued that "not many people who could have taken the punishment inflicted during this period of time, and yet done so much for the success of America and its citizens."

Former federal prosecutor Jeffrey Toobin told Cooper that the letter was a "perfect" representation of the president. "This narcissism, this lying, this self-obsession, this ignorance if history—this is all what's here," he added.

"And you know what? He got elected president of the United States acting exactly this way," Toobin continued. "And he may get re-elected behaving exactly this way. But there's no mystery about who he is—this is who he is."

^agreed, daylight. and ball is awesome.

sad to see dems justifying giving trump all the money in the world while also calling him completely unfit to serve in office. but they support the military industrial complex just as much as the republicans -- same interests.

this is what we're fighting.

funny little fact -- nancy pelosi's net worth has increased by over 65mil from 2005-2015. lol.

Nope, not a fan of government shutdowns. Not a fan of Trump or his bloated military budget, but he holds all the cards at the moment. Getting a tad judgy there, kiddo. Meaningless suburban amerian life? lol. Ever think about the actual people who suffer during a government shut down? Didn't think so.

Government shutdown  hardly impacts my life, and hasn't worked in the past to effect change or to stop the war machine.

The big issue isn't that Democrats voted for the military spending bill. It's that they are allowed to tack on totally unrelated but important issues, like paid parental leave for federal employees. The whole fucking thing becomes a bizarre quid pro quo. The only way the spending bill would pass was if the Republicans tacked on a high ticket item, and the only way the Democrats could get the leave was to have it tacked on to a high ticket item. What the fuck does military spending have to do with parental leave? Nothing. It just forces these fucked up compromises that aren't really compromises, because they are about totally different things.

In the current system, and with riders and pork allowed (used by both sides), elected officials will always vote for what they are against, as long as it gets them what they want.

It's pretty easy to armchair quarterback and say that they are doing Trump's bidding. Put most of us in the same boat and we'd do the same things. "Yeah, give the douche what he wants, and we'll get that federal family leave. As a result, it will force a change in our society, and it will become the norm. Oh, at the same time let's figure out how not to shut the damn government down again, which really fucks with families."

For a million reasons, it's not quite as easy as digging in one's heels and voting only for things that one agrees with.

And Turtle, you can have nice things. Become a federal employee and adopt a friggin' kid. You'll get a nice 12 weeks paid.

i know you, no rider...

Great post Daylight.

Nancy you need to re-assess your values.

BK,  fed employees getting paid leave is equivalent to that absurd military budget? That is total BS.  It passed because the military industrial complex pays very well.  Period.

Sorry Mark, there's no point in even trying to discuss it with you. I'm talking about the cold, hard realities of our fucked up political system. You're talking about idealism. You can go back to ever single vote in Congress and put the motive of money behind it, and there's no doubt that you'd be somewhat right. Whatever.

No, Mark. You need to reassess how you address me. Just don't if you can't disagree respectfully

your values are not  superior, so please knock it off.

nancy talking about disagreeing respectfully yet throwing around bernie bro and kiddo. lol.

bk you can justify any way you'd like -- the corporate dems are voting w/ the trump agenda. pelosi is sitting on labor law reforms unions want -- nobody was pushing for the USMCA, expert major corps and establishment dems.

This whole, "if you don't support Bernie you're the enemy," thing is really tiring.

Turn the TV to the Trump rally in Michigan, and I can guarantee that he's saying the same thing: if you don't support me you're the enemy.

When he does it, it's considered "authoritarian."

Definitely cannot have nice things....

huh. you have twisted logic man.

If you still think the idea of having a president within a democratic republic, you are the enemy.  Can we please advance as a civilization and get rid of the dad figure...

Dose the electorate or the establishment?

electorate. 500mics mandatory minimum lol.

"He'll rule from the top."

"You need to fall in line behind Bernie."

"You need to reassess your values."

And I have twisted logic?

To be fair, mandatory minimum has never been a good idea...

The infighting is amazing.  It’s so blatantly obvious even in this very little corner of the internet.

yeah when you liken bernie support to trump, absolutely. super twisted.

bernie will absolutely influence from the top -- i've said this before, correct. imagine how many AOCs and Omar's and Tlaibs will hit congress if bernie is elected. you already have conceded he's drastically influenced the entire dem party -- i mean, the debates are centered around bernie's platform ideas. jesus.

the fall in line remark was about thod mentioning how republicans fall in line. it's true. dems should support the most trusted candidate running, the only populist running, the most popular politician in the country. if they did maybe they'd win the white house again.

Is this bickering going to get Turts nice things? That should be our litmus test.

Turtle should just move to the hood.  It’s easier to get nice things here. ;*)

Turts had a nice cabin and a good weekend !!!

( entitled Marin space Nazis  exception lol ) ---FYI  that was the loudest woman I have ever heard in my life,  even an hour before liftoff

JFK sizing-up a 20 year old Nancy Pelosi. Hopefully she came away unscathed.
