Not in support AT ALL of the idiot or his lack of caution, however, lots of low-income kids simply can't learn online as they don't have computers or internet connections.

Maybe Yeezy can buy them computers with the PPP money the rich SOB received. Definitely a troubling situation ahead.

besides this, there is a big percentage of kids that even in the best of times don't learn well due to adhd , dyslexia etc. even in overcrowded class rooms they are better off than online , so what I'm saying is some kids need the schools to open , they already lost 1/2 a year they can't afford to lose another year. Trump is an ass but schools need to open to some degree. Alternate weeks or something . 

Agreed Elvis. Some just need that one on one, for many reasons. Maybe those that can online, others in person. Who knows? Glad I'm not in charge.

Enough adults are having trouble working from home, imagine a kid trying to learn. And with brothers and sisters around, more distractions. Not every home is conducive to learning.     

I'm glad I retired, me thinks trumps plan to reopen schools is going to be killing off some teachers. Two trumpers I have spoken to recently are now independents, no longer republicans. That's a small change, but a change none the less.

Would you want to be in a room with 30 kids 7 hours a day? Right now there is no indoor anything except shopping for adults or kids. That's part of why Colorado is in pretty good shape. That and masks.

My granddaughter has the option of going to school or staying home for online education. Seems dumb as shit to me, one of the other.

I pity the teacher having to keep up with both home and school learning and grading. I believe many youngsters are going to get left behind.

I don't see why anyone would base their actions one way or another on anything Trump says or does, especially when it comes to issues of health and safety.  He's not a doctor or a scientist, behaves erratically, and frankly should be ignored when it comes to decision making.

The country would be better off with a woman as President. Or a man. 

They all should volunteer in a school for a week with no testing to show how safe it is.

Sup HighString.  I'm in agreement with your opinion on reopening but wanted to just chime in for a sec.  "Whatever Trump recommends, do the opposite"-  I disagree with the statement.  The Left continues going more left just to counter Trump's enormous flow of aggressive rhetoric.  Trump blows- no doubt about it, but even a broken clock is right twice a day and when you, by default, deem EVERY decision the guy makes as awful, you turn off and desensitize people to the very real/legitimate criticism of his behaviors. 

My point is that by applying such illiberal logic as "Whatever Trump recommends, do the opposite" to all situations, you're discrediting the very, very legitimate criticism that is warranted.

My sister is a teacher in Tucson.  She is home in bed sick with pneumonia from Covid-19 and asthma compilations.   She shares a building with 5 other teachers.  Another teacher in that building has Covid-19.   So I know math is hard for leaders worried about their debt to the Russian and Chinese crime families but that equals 

1/3

of the teachers in the building have COVID-19.  They are not ready to go back to school in August.
