Russian Nuclear Accident

I was in Sienna Italy in 1986 when Chernobyl blew, moving on to Perugia. Since neither my traveling companion nor I read/spoke Italian we couldn't really tell what was happening. Well, even if we had, I don't think anyone knew what was really happening or had happened. The wind direction was bringing radioactive dust from Chernobyl to Italy but it didn't seem like anyone was taking the threat seriously. The most cautionary thing we saw was signboards at the train stations saying "Don't eat vegetables" since they might have been exposed to radiation in the fields. We left and went to the south of France (Menton) where we hoped the threat was less. Whether it was or not, it was beautiful and charming and we felt safer.

Messing with a technology so dangerous, it was abandoned in the 90's by all nations as too unstable to mess with.

But now with the U.S. In his back pocket, putin runs the fucking world and his ego knows no bounds. China should be very concerned.
