Rung After Rung

Forums:

Look, I don't want to sound like a dick here, but there is no ladder out there that would ever impress me.

In my opinion,

A ladder isn't really a ladder until someone climbs it, and when someone does climb it, I am impressed by the climber NOT the ladder.

This is coming from a guy who owns at least six ladders and uses at least one of them almost every day.

I've climbed ladders, PAL. Don't even think for a second I'm the guy who has only seen them on TV and just talk a big game here.

NO

I have climbed countless times.

I'm a big man and I have big ladders.

Oh look at me! I climb! I have no shoes on! I'm a hot man!!

I am NOT like that, OK?

I climb ladders by necessity only.

I use ladders as a tool. I DO NOT romanticize about ladders.

I do not treat them like people or any other living thing.

I do not imagine a "Lady Ladder" where the act of climbing is sexual in nature.

She will not blush or moan as I ascend up and down the rungs all night long.

I don't do that.

I do not use my ladders in any kind of sexual gratification.

They are just tools.

They are not impressed by me and vise versa.

Never have, never will.

There just ladders.

Don't walk under the corporate ladder.

Now do glass ceilings

I can dig it.

You rung?

it all depends on who is at the bottom holding the ladder

not a fan

Did the Anasazi "key" the footholds to their cliff dwelling so as you had to use the "correct" foot first or you'd be SOL at a certain height?

Are ladders tools or equipment?

I think Chinarider nailed this thread.

Some Rise Some Fall Some Climb

I would pay to see a well-trained actor recite the OP to a live audience.  Or at least a live stream.

The old wooden ladder of Devil's Tower impressed me
