Tickets go on sale 10/18 at 10 am

7,000 seat venue, not the smallest place they've played in a decade, as they are claiming.

They might bring Brown Sugar back at that show.  Hope some of you can make it.

Just landed in L.A. and checked into my hotel for tonight's show.  A buddy of mine is flying now, and we're heading over to SOFI after he gets here.  This is my 4th time taking a friend to see the Stones using Lucky Dip tickets.  Hard to beat the 2 tickets for $69 price.  You just don't know where your seats are until you pick them up right before the show.  I've always gotten very good lower level seats, but never gotten Pit Tickets.  Fingers crossed.

This is my 6th Stones show overall. My first was 40 years ago on the Tattoo You Tour when I was 16 and my Dad gave me 4 front row seats with backstage passes to see them at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland.  Me and three of my friends had the time of our young lives.  In a way, this 4th time taking a friend on the Lucky Dips, completes the circle and pays my old man's gift forward.  We just lost him after this past Christmas,  but I still feel his presence every day, and will be thinking of him and my mom, who preceded him in passing on to eternity by ten weeks, and, of course, Mr. Charlie Watts, as the show plays on this picture perfect day in L.A.

Have a blast Herbal Dave!

Dave, I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. Good for you for keeping your Dad's flame going...

I wish I was there; the last time I saw the Stones in LA was at the Wiltern Theatre in 2003.

You guys have a great time and I hope you pull pit tickets!

Keef- this is what I like to do be on the road.

I have a group of friends who have been pit monsters every date on this tour. I suspect they will be there for this show and probably on the rail, to boot.

@AMSadldler

How will they accomplish this?

I couldn't even get tickets for D & C at Red Rocks. Or are they filthy rich and will pay whatever it takes?

Have a great time, Dave.

Show was yesterday Judit. The great time has passed.

If it was great, the great time goes on in memories.

Filthy rich is a relative term. As for paying whatever it takes, I subscribe to a don't ask, don't tell policy. With both those things being said, I suspect a mixture of both with a liberal dose of uber-fan networking amongst others like them. With most top tier touring acts there is a group of people who have the ways and means to attend every show in the best locations. They fly from venue to venue, regardless of where in the world they are located and do it with comfort. We all make choices on what gets our rocks off and what we are willing to do to make it happen. Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Dead & Co, Pearl Jam, etc...they all have that group and often those fans are in multiple performer's community.

If that's what floats their boats; who am I to judge their efforts?

Prices for the Stones are obscene. Not even sure I would pay top price if It was Jerry back from beyond..........well maybe that.

The show in L.A. last Thursday ended up being a good time.  SOFI Arena is massive and is an interesting architectural design, although a little confusing to navigate.  No luck with Pits, but we got decent lower bowl seats at back left about 15 rows off the floor just back of the soundboard.  Still felt rather distant from the stage.  The sound was clear, and the video screens helped get a more detailed picture of what was happening.

Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were both in good form, and looked stronger than I'd expected.  Just before Connection, Keith mentioned that "It's good to be back on the road," before beaming a heartfelt smile and continuing with, "It's what I do."  Gold rings on ya, indeed,

If anything, it was Mick Jagger who was showing his age.  There were a few times after his sprinting up and down the catwalks, that he looked like a boxer out on his feet.  Steve Jordan's drumming was rock solid, and you got the feeling that he was pushing the band.  Sasha Allen has come into her own as the female background vocalist, and had a strong show.

The setlist was fun, again omitting Brown Sugar, but including some relative obscurities like All Down The Line, Connection and Ruby Tuesday.  Karl Denson's flute playing on Ruby Tuesday was a nice touch.

I was surprised to see two large merch tables set up near the back of the floor, behind the soundboard, on the sides.  Don't recall ever seeing that at a stadium show before.  The Stones really push the profit angle these days, and I agree that it is getting to be obscene.  The crowd was very old, easily the oldest I've ever seen fill a football stadium.

Saw more than a few ladies who had too much to drink (?) and were fortunate to have a friend there to guide their staggering asses out of the building, otherwise they would have face-planted.  Embarrassing enough when you're in your youth, but just ridiculous when you're in your sixties.

It's still a good Rock n' Roll show, but targeted for the AARP set.  I could have picked up tickets for the Miami tour closer at the Hard Rock Cafe, but didn't feel it was worth the $500-1000 per ticket they were asking.  Maybe I'll see them again next summer in Europe if they offer Lucky Dips again, otherwise, it's been a good ride.

>>>large merch tables set up near the back of the floor

I recall this was the case at DeadCo Hershey

3K+ for a standing only floor seat

Fuck off
