I saw Bobby replace Rob two times at the Fillmore this was back when John K was lead. I don't remember any mid song replacements both times it was the second set. I do remember that the first time John sang the Jerry tunes, but the second time Bobby sang them and it looked to me like every one in the band was surprised by that.
Anyway sucks that Rob broke his wrist. Hope he gets better and can play again. Always enjoyed DSO.

I admit, I was skeptical about this story at first. Sounds fishy. Rock star. Swimming pool. Accidently tripped over an inflatable whale while chasing Fake Donna -- even though the sign clearly says No Running.
But jambase just released actual footage of the incident...

JR's right. I guess the wise move would be to buy some Obamacare instead of tacos and beer.
"RE: We’ve been doing Facebook streams. Rob, my son and I, started it about 6, 7 weeks ago, for 30 minutes every Tuesday. It’s successful. We’d make 500 bucks, 250 bucks each. Then we started stretching out and doing electric. Agave gave us our space so we were able to do a couple of streams from there. And then we were able to hire some of my Dark Star crew that lives in Denver, and give them some income. We’re not talking big dollars, but 100 bucks there, 200 bucks here…
It's hard to guess how much musicians actually make when touring, there are many costs & expenses, but DSO hadn't been playing little places for quite a while. They were filling up 3,000 - 7,000 seat venues for a number of years, and playing many, many shows a year. That's good money. How much exactly? Where's Vorty when we need him?!?
I'd think they'd been doing pretty well for themselves the past few years, but if they didn't set up a plan for health insurance they set themselves up to fail.
When we're young we don't think we'll ever get old, and have "old" issues.
But if we're lucky we do get old, and sooner or later we have most if not all of those damned issues.
A $75,000 bill for a broken wrist? That's just bad planning.

Didn't Bobby make a surprise appearance at a DSO show, where he replaced false Bob mid-song and left the crowd stunned in amazement?

Rob Eaton begging for money with a Go fund me is laughable considering the $ he's made touring with DSO for over 25 years.

Probably just enough to contribute to some household bills. Not sure what you think a small touring act nets after bills?

I'd imagine that is what the
I'd imagine 75 is what the hospital charges the insurance company.
However the hospital actually gets paid less.
What the hospital charges and what the insurance company pays are not the same.
Fee schedule rate and negotiated reimbursement rate are two different things.
200 charge actually only gets paid at say 150 or 125. It's the wacky world of medical billing.
He should demand and only pay what the hospital gets paid, not what they charge.
