He doesn't get enough credit for his drumming, especially in the early days of Panic when he helped to formulate their mystic and swampy signatures.
It was never more apparent than when he left the band. Trucks is a far superior technical drummer but along with machine gun Jimmy, they constantly up-shift gears and turn corners too quickly. Still a kick ass rock band but the remaining ethos of Panic disappeared without Todd's back-beat, at least to my ears.

A sad downward spiral for Todd. Tough to see.
