John Miles.

Laid down some monster vocals on Page's Outrider album and tour. Had a heck of a career besides that.

John played alongside a plethora of artists from Tina Turner, Jimmy Page, Joe Cocker to Andre Botticelli amongst many others. John was not only so kind and gentle but a brilliant musician and songwriter on the world stage. John leaves behind his wife Eileen married 50 years, two children and two grandchildren.

I always think of Michael Nesmith's mother when I think of him; Betty Nesmith invented Liquid Paper. That's an amazing achievement that has helped almost all of us. It's such a big deal!

I thought Albert Hofmann invented liquid paper.wink

This one hurts, REALLY hurts. Bill Staines. A great folksinger. One of my absolute favorites and a very nice guy. Saw numerous shows. "The First Million Miles" is a CD way worth owning.

John Prine and Bill in the same year? Ouch. I was floored when a friend mentioned it at a music party the other night. So many GREAT songs.

I remember Bill Staines from the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas.
RIP

RIP to the 20 children and 6 adults taken away on this date in 2012 at the Sandy Hook elementary school. I worked about 10 miles away at the time and was wondering why all the state police vehicles were speeding towards Newtown.

Cherish your loved ones.

You can trust the moon to move the mighty oceans

You can trust the sun to shine upon the land

You take the little that you know

And you do the best you can

And you see the rest with the quiet faith of man.
