From National Lampoon to Rolling Stone to NPR, to his own successful books, this guy was a savagely funny, keen writer, who's work embodied the spirit of the New Journalism that Tom Wolfe and Hunter S. Thompson helped establish and O'Rourke ran with.  Another funny man done gone.
