Give it up for the legendary festival producer, who passed onto the great gig in the sky today at age 95. George founded the Newport Festivals and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (aka Jazzfest), and was by all accounts a swell guy and an ambassador for music, arts and culture. How appropriate that D&C opened with Iko-Iko tonight.
