R.I.P. Clyde Stubblefield, The Funky Drummer

Whoa! Missed this.  That dude had IT.  Truly remarkable player.  Im gonna go try to play some of his stuff to remind me how good he was.   Thanks for posting this.

Changed the game. He will be missed

Hearing lots of tributes on the radio to Clyde.  He's the rhythm machine behind so many legendary slabs of JB Funk.

The Funk world also received the double-whammy news this weekend that Walter "Junie" Morrison passed away on January 21st in London at the age of 62.  He was a member of the Ohio Players in the early 70's, then joined Parliament/Funkadelic in the mid-70's, playing keyboards and adding vocals, eventually replacing Bernie Worrell as their musical director.
