He should offer a bigger reward. A thousand dollar reward isn't going to tempt the thieves.
When Lady Gaga's dogs were stolen she offered a $500 grand reward and got them back. the idiots who stole the dogs and shot the dog walker and the idiot family member who returned the dog for the reward all got arrested.
