Stern Grove is too early & too much effort for me, these days especially.
I love that place, going back to my earliest memories when I lived about two miles away, and in my younger days I would have made the effort to get to the Phil show & then head down the road to the Frost.
But now I'm falling back on my teacher vibe and telling everyone else what THEY should do, while I sleep in, listen to the Phil stream, cruise into the Frost late and enjoy MMJ.

I was there, but was stashed up in a little booth above the stage. My buddy runs the place and there was a little party going on up there.
Those are some interesting friends. Have Katie Jacoby or Mikaela Davis ever played with Phil before? Jacoby is a violin player & I think Davis plays the harp. Those should make some interesting sounds among the fog & eucalyptus trees.
Roar, I would imagine it won't be that hard to score an extra from someone. Since it's a free show everyone grabs multiple tix,so there will almost certainly be extra's out there.
And in my experience it's never a good bet to try to guess what Stanley Jordan will be wearing.
