I was able to get some records from the list last Friday and am just digging in to them.
Early standouts I highly encourage to seek out if vinyl is your thing:
Waylon Jennings "New Stuff" along with "Here's to the Champion" (Muhammad Ali), which is the song done by different artists. Both of these albums are pretty damn good. That's all I can say, and here's a little something you can read about it here:

Also, the first North American pressing on vinyl of Neil Young's Harvest Moon just blew me away when I played the album in its entirety late last night. It is just stunning.
Those are my favorites at the moment. Gram and Emmylou release from Ultrasonic Studios sounds lovely, just like everything else that came out of that studio up in Hempstead, NY. Live Raspberries release super fun. Lastly, put the needle down on Steve Earle's El Corazon, and the damn thing had two gouges in it from the factory- needless to say, the record store will replace it.
Let's hear what you got and recommend. Shoot, even if you want to talk records and what sounds sweet out there, post away.....

This weekend was kind of a
This weekend was kind of a blur but I think it was Friday night that I picked up about 75 pieces from a local comic book guy who had few thousand LPs that he let me pick through for an hour or two? Mostly CTI and late 60s A&M stuff, plus some soul jazz Motown like Grover Washington Jr. but also some fusion shit like Weather Report and Return To Forever, plus some oddities like this one
The Calvin Jackson Quartet - Rave Notice
plus some cool McCoy Tyner, Richard Holmes, and even an original pressing of Ornette Coleman's At the Golden Circle Vol. 1. Really nice haul.
I don't go in for the RSD releases at all but every year there are some tantalizing titles. That Harvest Moon and the Gram/Emmylou were two of them. Great titles EB Fox, sorry you gotta delay on the Steve Earle but I bet that pressing is gonna be lit when you get the new disc. Solid stuff.
