The first half of Hateful Eight is pretty good then it gets pretty bad.

The big sick. Baby driver

not exactly new, watched recently and really enjoyed

Midnight in Paris

Mystery Train

Night on Earth

Down by Law

Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in The Post will be out 12/22.

I can't wait until they figure out a distribution model for I Love You Daddy

Do not wast your time with the new Pacino movie Hangman.

Get Out

Lady Bug and 3 Billboard s were both excellent

someone likes Jim Jarmusch, can't say I blame ya!

Highnote for the Tom Waits win!

Lars and the Real Girl

My friend, Harry Greenberger wrote and directed his first feature film. Staring at the Sun, and it just won Best Feature Film at the Big Apple Film Festival.

Nice, I'll look out for that one.

"Three Billboards"- absolutely killer.

"Roman J. Israel"- not bad, if yer' referring to current flicks.

Went to see "The Killing Of A Sacred Deer" last night, and thought it fell a bit flat. Very monotone dialogue, from ALL characters.

Nothing about that title or description makes me want to see that movie Ned. I'm completely escapist when it comes to tv or movies.

Ironically, it has nothing to do with a deer, or the killing of a deer.

That said, there are a few full nude shots of Nicole Kidman....interest piqued yet?

I have no interest in Kidman's titties. I'd rather see her gutted by the deer than that borefest of a movie.

Yea, you're right.

I give it 3 out of 5 sagging titties.

Good Time

Get Out was great

Black Sabbath -The End.

Now playing on Showtime

I'm hoping Lucky becomes available soon,

we missed it in theaters.

Not a movie but check out American Vandal on Netflix.

Another vote for Get Out. Recently watched it. Instant classic.

I Called Him Morgan

We just saw "Battle of the Sexes," a romantic comedic drama sports biopic about the famous 1973 tennis match of that name between Bobby Riggs and Billy Jean King.  Good stuff.

Midnight in Paris<<<

Thumbs up.

Hell or high water

Just saw All the Money in the World last night and enjoyed it ... no stream yet.

Going to see The Shape Of Water this afternoon; will report back.

This is the most WTF movie I've seen in a long time, and it was on some movie reviewers best movie of 2017 which made me laugh, but I did remember the movie which is saying a lot these days.

Can't blame you either, but curious why Dead Man was left off your list?

Finally saw "3 billboards"

Great film.

Now I want to see the shape of water.

I liked 3 Billboards a lot.

Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors.

Do you have Netflix, RRG? If you do - check out Dark.

We were hoping Sam would get best supporting actor.

He was fantastic.

No Netflix as of yet, but I'll remember that suggestion.

So much good stuff on Netflix. It is truly worth the $10 a month.

I appreciated the advice,

Might just look into it.

Thanks.

>>> Can't blame you either, but curious why Dead Man was left off your list? <<<

Man, I love that movie.

My Name is Nobody.

Shape of Water was my favorite movie in the last 15 yrs. well deserved best picture.

I saw "Annihilation" with Natalie Portman last night and really enjoyed it.  Same producer/director as "Ex Machina", if any of you guys liked that one.

I also want to check out The Florida Project.

Florida Project was really good.  Get Out and Ladybird better.

Not new but maybe new to you?:

Salesman - documentary about Bible salesmen in the early 60's

Captain Fantastic - ViggoM as a dad raising his kids as hippie maoists off the grid, wife dies and there is conflict with her family, hijinks ensue.  Very good.

Green Room - punk band gets gig in Oregon at what turns out to be a nazi compound, hilarity ensues (by hilarity I mean violence).  Stars Patrick Stewart as the bad guy.

Deli Man - documentary about jewish deli.  Mmmmmmm.

Marjoe - documentary about a huckster healing preacher who admits it is all a con.  Good shit.

Go - the best ecstasy/rave movie ever made.  1999. Timothy Olyphant, Katie Homes, Jay Mohr. Greatly underrated movie.

Another vote for the Florida Project.  Surprised it didn't get more Oscar love.

Saw "Hostiles" and "Red Sparrow" this past week.   Both were good movies, but brutal.  Not for the faint of heart.

Just watched The Square this weekend and enjoyed it

Checked out the trailer for Hostiles..looks pretty intense.

I think I'll check it out...thanks for the recommendation.

The Green Book, based on a true story.  I give it two thumbs up!

The Favourite

Vice

Black Klansman

Not a movie but a mini series based upon a book called My Brilliant Friend on HBO.   We just finished it and really liked it.  Brought back so many memories of living in Sicily.
