Ravens Divisional Round

Forums:

if you want to rob a bank in Baltimore, do it Sat at 8:15. This town is Purple. Nice that there's something for everyone to root for.

(now, you can probably shoot someone anytime)

<I believe that the 49ers have the best chance of beating the Ravens, so..>

Lance, that's true -- there's a chance.. if Lamar gets hurt...

...but this is how it's gonna go:

(you know the melody, sing it...)

Tennessee, Tennessee,

ain't no threat to our MVP.

Ravens'll kick their ass, you'll see...

back to Tennessee.

( feels good, huh? sing it again, now LOUDER)

I wonder how people in Cleveland feel about the Ravens.

Gotta' suck to be from Cleveland.

>>>(you know the melody, sing it...)

Henry's truckin right on through, hardly even stopped...

Can the Ravens stop Derrick Henry?

I think the Ravens will win it all but I'm rooting for the Titans.

<Can the Ravens stop Derrick Henry? >

It's gonna be a like a prison riot.....Ravens want that ring

Oh shit are you saying Harbaugh bowl 2 minus the bad Harbaugh?

I could see that

Don’t sleep on the Vikings this weekend.  Their D is stout and the Niners haven’t been to the playoffs in six years and there is zero reason to think the Niners are prepared at all for postseason.

Seattle flew to Philly last week and beat a horrible Philly team, just to fly home and now have to return to WI?  All while GB was sitting home with their feet up eating cheese?  Packers are not the Eagles...

I don't think anybody should be sleeping on the Vikings. They just won a big game and will be riding a confidence high, they do have a very good defense and the 49ers will be coming off their first bye after 13 straight weeks of intense games. The week of rest was great for the 49ers so they could finally take a breath and heal, but very often teams will come out flat and off rhythm after a bye, and it's been ages since the 49ers have had a week off; that could be an issue.

It's that possibility that worries me most. The Vikings are a good team with a very good defense, but the 49ers defense is better. Despite popular opinion the Vikings have a dangerous QB who is fully capable of making big plays... so do the 49ers. The Vikings have an excellent running game... the 49ers do as well. The Vikings have the better receivers... well they do, but the 49ers receivers are very good and the Vikings don't have Kittle.

And I think the 49ers have better coaching, especially on the offensive side. It should be a very tough, very good football game that the Vikings could definitely win.

But I think the 49ers are just a little too good.

And Green Bay is clearly more talented than the Seahawks and they should win that game, but there's just something about those damned Seahags. They're like a zombie, even when they're dead they just keep coming at you. I'm not a betting man, but if I was I would never bet money against the Seattle Seahawks.

And apologies Stone guy for mucking up your little love-fest Ravens thread with talk about the other teams.

(Not really)

 <<damned Seahags

excuse me?

If moving to Baltimore was what was needed to get rid of Art Model then so be it

and it's great being from the rock and roll capital of the world

now if we could only get rid of this worthless owner, how the fuck did they let someone that was a part owner of the Steelers buy the Browns? Oh yea that other fucked up owner, and so the circle of sadness continues

never forget - Fuck Art

>>>If moving to Baltimore was what was needed to get rid of Art Model then so be it<<<

OK, that's fair.

Good luck with that coaching choice.

The Browns current owner ain't no saint.
If stadium funding in Cleveland came before Model announced he was leaving...

Art Model did leave Cleveland with the Browns name and history, which is more than other NFL carpetbaggers (Indianapolis Colts?) did.

Go Ravens!!!!!!!

and Alan, I love your revised chorus, which I'm calling Tennessee's Dead.

Model worked the city more than a few times, and he was close to broke until Baltimore bought his soul, and Model did not leave the name, the city fought for it

god, I miss that old shit hole of a stadium, what a time I had in that old mother fucker

again FUCK ART MODEL

hard to hate Ozzie Newsome though, and ya all ain't the Steelers, so Go Ravens

90 % chance of rain Saturday night -- that's not good for either team

It's like the day of a show.....everyone's got the schpiel-kies (nervous anticipation), even th Coach is wearing tie dye, tailgating fans on Shakedown, long haired freaks...

Weather could be the wildcard if it causes turnovers, but Ravens have played in downpours this season already, so it shouldn't be a problem.

"A slight chance of showers before 10pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10pm and 1am,"

Go Ravens! Go 49ers!

With the Giants sucking, and the Pats satanic dynasty thankfully finally vanquished,  I don't know who to root for or against.

currently 67 degrees  in Maryland in January at 7pm? and no rain in sight for game -- thee was snow on the ground a couple days ago...freaky....

time to really pre-game now.... enjoy

Heck of a game.

So all I can say with certainty is that you don't want to be tripping tonight in a bar in Baltimore.

And that, that Henry guy is friggin superhuman..

Labor Day to now -- it was a good run, but sucks that spring is still a few months away. Hoped to extend football season for a few more weeks.

Won a nice chunk on titans....as my brother and i took titans w points...and titans w money line to win out right.....i shoulda joined him on niners, but i did not....

Tmrw taking both dogs.....i think....even though we agree that kc is going SB...vs seattle pack winner

My heartbreak last night was when I had turned in late to the pregame show. So I tuned in late and Everyone  was congratulating Cowher, but I missed why. My mind is racing oh fuck they just announced him as the new head coach of the Cleveland browns, a Shottenheimer disciple, back to the fold, finally. 30 seconds later I figure it out, oh fuck, the life of a browns fan

Tha  Titian's

Oh HENRY !

Cold iron shackles, ball and chain
Listen to the whistle of the evenin' train
You know you bound to wind up dead
If you don't head back to Tennessee Je

well that was surprising.

yes I didn't see that coming

Love those Titans!  Had to laugh at Harbaugh and his 0-3 4th down failures.

It looked like the Ravens had the bye blues. Plus they didn't play a meaningful game for a week or two at the end of the season. Flat city.

And personally I don't really know anything about the Titans except that Henry is a real good player and Tannehill had taken the QB job, but I didn't see a single game of theirs this year and didn't give them much thought. Is their defense really that good?

Either way, the Ravens looked like they hadn't played a game in a month.

And as I write this the Texans have just slapped KC in the mouth to start and the Chiefs are down 14 early. Can Mahomes bring them back?

The AFC Super Bowl slot is wide open.

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harbaugh :"We just played like s--- today."  Needless to say, people are vey bummed out in Charm City.

As mentioned, this town needs something positive and this past football season provided it.

(Thankfully, having formerly lived in SF / Bay area for 25 yeas, I have a backup plan to extend the football season a few more weeks....go 49ers!)

If you would have told me before the game that Lamar would have 365 pass yards and 143 rush yards I would have said easy Ravens win.

I didn't see much of the game but yes, most of their starters hadn't played in 3 weeks sitting out the last week of the regular season and then the bye week. I guess they were a little flat.

But Lamar still provides  500 yards of offense. Sheesh. Dude is a machine.

Go Titans!

Strange wknd to say the least. I agree w post above about looking at stats afterwards and just based on those, you d think outcome was differant.

Sunday was even weirder....i took houston and got 7.5 points....so, at one point i was up 31.5-0, and, although i honestly thought KC would get up off the matt and make a comeback, maybe even squeek out a 34-31 win or something, i did kinda think my lead was safe. But, w that offense, by no means had i started to spend my "winnings" , lol, nope, no way vs that team....but, 51-31???? Wtf?

Never happened before where a team down 20, won by 20...just craaaazzee....

Its Kc s year, and ive thought that most of year, but, man, id love to see Titans beat them!

The Titans remind me of the 85 - 86 Patriots. Won on the road against the Jets, flew all the way across the country and beat the Raiders in LA, and then flew back and beat the Dolphins in Miami only to be destroyed by the Bears in the Super Bowl
