Dude is super cool, and not nearly as spacy as he seems during a show.
I see him often at jazz shows as well, at the Miner in SF, usually in a seat above & behind the stage. He's not nearly as animated there but he still grooves.

I don't have a particular rating, but do think he's good at what he does. Depending upon my state of mind, there'd be a 50/50 chance I might have moved if I found myself behind him. While categorically better than if he had a cell phone up the whole time, I could see how it might be a little distracting ... which would ultimately be "on me". On the other hand, I don't think he has anything on "Dancing Pat's" version of hand-dancing:
