Saw those dudes live about eight years ago. A third of material was just plain stupid, a third amusing, and a third hilarious (especially Chong's jail stories).
I saw Tommy and his wife Shelby do a stand up set early 2000s. I had this deck at home already and took it to the show. Long story short, he saw the board and signed it for me. He loved it. Did not even know these had been made. The show was absolutely hilarious to me. I grew up listening to their records, so it was cool getting to meet Tommy and his wife.
Saw the 4/20 Cheech & Chong Matinee show @ The Cap. Laughed my ass off throughout! Tommy Chong's wife Shelby MC'd and she was hilarious too! There were a few clunker bits and/or characters, but overall, I was in stitches. We were treated to Bassaball Jones, Mexican Americans, Born In East LA, and the legendary "Dave" skit was given a new twist that was really funny,using a little more current 4:20 parlance.
Pretty great, considering Tommy Chong says he will be turning 80 this year!
