Back in the fall of 2009 I was able to attend a taping of Elvis Costello's Spectacle at The Apollo Theater with his guest being Bruce Springsteen. I remember posting about it on the old Zone and when that night was finally broadcast in two parts in 2010 I voiced my disappointment that one of Elvis and The Imposter's pre-show warm up cover of Springteen's Point Blank was not included in the final cut. As good as Springsteen was that night, my favorite part of the night was Costello's performance of that song. When the DVD came out, still no Point Blank.
Earlier today I remembered that night and thought I might take a look at YouTube to see if some bootleg version has shown up in the ensuing years. I'm not sure who the poster is and what the lineage of this recording is, so I can't tell you that. I can tell you that with so few plays since then, it probably hasn't been heard by a lot of people who might enjoy it. As a public service, here is the link. https://youtu.be/9p6wBw26k3w

If you're on a Mac, you can add a plug-in called Soundflower, which allows you to capture audio in realtime as it runs live.
