Proud of the Young (peaceful) Protesters

Forums:

Based on the television newscasts, it seems like the protesters in every city are mostly young. Lots of twenty-somethings.

I know that might be expected, but I find it very encouraging that they are engaged.

Multi-racial, multi-gender, too.

Boomer grandkids rock.

It's their world -- I just live in it.

My grandkids are amazing. My granddaughter (6 1/2) is strong, confident, funny and sweet, and my grandson (4) is a very special old soul. They're creative, drive each other crazy and are beautiful. They've been raised to see value in all people, and to think like the kid in this pic. If we're all lucky they'll be part of the coalition of people helping to create and steer us into a better future.

It is encouraging to see so many young people getting involved in social activism.  I had concerns that actual social interaction was in retreat with the rise of social media and other virtual ways of engaging with others.  The power of a group of people focused towards positive change is inspiring.  Humanity still has a future.

I will tell my step-grandkids to think about and remember the red haired woman that will run for the fifth lady POTUS.
