I first saw Wally perform live when he was with David Lindley, sometime in the early 2000s, on a couple different occasions. I got to hang with Wally a bit during his stints with the David Nelson Band in Hawaii (and elsewhere) from 2012-2016 filling in for John Molo. A solid, fun, down-to-earth guy... and a helluva drummer. On DNB Hawaii tour, I also got to meet his wife Laurie and young star-in-the-making daughter Lydia.

Fun times!

He'd have made a fine Wolf Brother.

Yes, nice to be there with him, and sweet little article. Thanks, Mr. Fish.

Met Wally in Pahoa years ago.  Didn't realize he was with the band, tables were full so I invited him to ours.  We talked about my mom's cancer, his surviving esophageal cancer, and how the band feels about pictures being taken.   Really sweet guy.

Went to the show that night and...there he was!

Sweet  night.

was introduced to him at a kimmock show via zoner russ.

was super humble and cool. was before he was slated to do the DNB tour. after seeing him perform, i told him he'd fit in just fine.
