Portable FLAC Player

Forums:

I want to replace my 13 year old 8gb ipod. not actually replace, i'll still use it for podcasts, just want to upgrade for music.

what do you recommend?

right now i'm looking at a 32 GB Surfans F20. It runs about $125. That's about my budget.

any help is appreciated.

My phone (Pixel 5) plays FLACs. It came with 128 GB of storage too.

I use VLC player on my samsung. It plays FLAC perfectly.  Its a grate app. I think its available for apple too

i appreciate the info, but workplace security issues prohibit the use of a cellphone for this purpose.

^ For a dozen doughnuts, your IT department might be persuaded to let you install a Time Machine on your box.

This was my big birthday present last year https://www.fiio.com/m11pro. Sounds great but I only use it around the house. It's pretty hefty.

This might be one you'd like - it does play flac and you can add up to 2tb microsd card

my Moto 4x with Musicolet app plays flacs.  I expanded the memory with a micro sd card, so it holds a ton of tunes.

Maybe it's a default option with all of these now, but does that surfans player allow for gapless playback?
