Love the diagrams, thanks Noodler!

Everybody form a big long line!

Weir, one at least one Dancin' . . .

I'm sure some phreak here knows exactly which dateswink

I saw two of the planets clearly right about the crack of dawn. Probably Jupiter and Venus, but it could be Venus and Mars.

Well so much for, peace guiding the planets and love stearing the stars when the alignment happens.

But it's a great McCartney album

Thanks Noodler!

That's a cool pic, but curious if my understanding is correct ... aren't planets always "lined up" (on the same plane)?

Same planes, not exactly, and they really don't align either, more of a cool, sort of unusual occurrence from our earth-centric point of view.

Did a quick search, this was a decent read, likely better out there;

Thanks for the link, it's interesting to read about!

I didn't realize they're not exactly aligned ... since I have used a star viewing app (SkyView Free) & can normally find all planets through Saturn by following the same general alignment line (even if it's "through the ground")

Earth, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn in alignment. (Taken in South Africa at 4:00 AM) This hasn't happened for 1000 years.
