Underated album.   Always a pleasure to blast on the stereo.

Jesus, Jesus what's it all about?

I never made it through the whole thing. Just too many wasted tracks of waters pretty much whining about the same shit that was on the wall. Almost like the rest of the band was just waiting for the album to end the whole time.

^ agreed. The 3rd album of the Wall.

There is a rough demo recording on Sugarmegs that is pretty interesting... I couldnt figure out how to post the link to the music itself but here is the info page http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/asxcards/PinkFloydRoughCutFinalCutDem...

I know I’m in the extreme minority here, but I find myself listening to non-waters Floyd albums way more than the oldies (excepting DSOTM and Wish)

Endless River and Momentary Lapse are probably my 2 most heavily played. Pulse right behind them.

I’m gonna give Final Cut a spin today. Thanks for the prod.

The Final Cut is hard to play in a social context.  It is mixed very unevenly, with some extremely quiet sections alternating with bombastic ones.  If you play it loud enough to hear the soft sections, it eventually becomes jarring and overwhelming.  If you keep the volume lowered to avoid the bombast, you can't hear the quiet pieces and it's impossible to understand what Waters is nattering on about.  There are some fine moments, but it is a difficult listen.

"Two Suns In The Sunset"...

...could be the human race is run.

This album has some very trippy sound effects when under the influence of nitrous oxide. cheeky

Always loved cranking the beginning of 'Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert'. KA-BOOM!

I’m there with ya, have been enjoying the later Gilmour years a lot lately... amlor remix on the new box set is out of this world good
