I realize we're late to this this party and have only been Phish fans since 2021, mostly thanks to the generosity of Roshambo hooking us with tickets to Shoreline, but we're fans now, ( love the 20 minute jams), and since we're already in San Miguel de Allende, Mex. we're doing it. We may be in credit card debt for the unforeseeable future but you only live once, right? We've never been to an all inclusive resort either. Anyone care to weigh in?
Watch out for an overabundance of plastic floatie toys and wasteful American tourists who are literally wasted. ;)
I've been to Strings & Sol a few times in that fest's early years, never Phish, but they've got to be similar.
After the US coordinator of that fest mistook me for a bathroom maid (since I'm Latina) and tried to hand me her dirty towel in one of the central bathrooms, I lost my affection for that crowd.
I had never been to an all-inclusive resort before -- the best part was that everything is easy and you don't need to leave the property if you don't want to.... but that also keeps travelers from experiencing the local culture... and that's why certain American travelers prefer all-inclusive resorts..... the rooms were super nice and it was easy to find late-night food after the show.... and the waiters would walk through the audience during the show w/ tequila shots on trays.
