This show was webcast via Live Phish. Ghost contained a Buried Alive tease from Trey. The second set was billed as Kasvot Växt’s iRokk and consisted entirely of debuts. The band came out for the set dressed in white with an altered stage setup and twelve squares hanging from the ceiling illuminated.
“It is as if Kasvot Växt never existed. But Halloween is about ghosts, is it not? And who better to tell us the story of a ghost than Phish? Phish has chosen the obscure Scandanavian band Kasvot Växt (translating to “Face Plant”) and their only recorded album, 1981’s í Rokk as their 2018 Halloween musical costume.”
I think the "Faceplant" clue was the best....just laughing at myself and others, that they actually pulled this off...too freakin funny, hats off to Phish...
no, they didn’t, that was the awesomeness of last nights musical costume, all original new Phish material disguised as something from an obscure Nordic band from early 80’s. I think that was one of the best Phish Halloween concepts ever.
No, I get that "KV" was an elaborate prank, and that PhishCo. even went so far as to plant "historical background info".
My belief is that they even spread fake rumours of "Fuzzy Duck" cover / costume as part of the Pranque.

Phish's greatest ever prank was playing Loaded on Halloween 1998 and then a few days later playing Dark Side of the Moon in UT to a few thousand people. Playing new songs is a cool idea but always going to be a bit of a letdown to the party crowd
That fucking rocked! Had nose-bleed & made floor front of SB for first set.
Up front & close for full Power of "Face Plant Into Rock!" Trey & Cactus even had some hilarious dynamic duo stage moves artistically described as (Mastheads; Viewing Yonder & Removing Gogles Temporarily; plus the furry pelts/skins covering the synths & keys not to mention the window orbs were pretty impressive. I was trippin' on the music and entire experience w/out the dirty cramp-inducing blotter!
Hipster next to me answer to his GF question about band's cover: "....Well They WERE Popular At Some Point Back In Their Time Period."
I thought it was a cool and well-executed idea, but since I had to bail on Vegas, I'm not sorry I missed it - although I did watch the webcast and enjoyed it. If it had been Bowie this year, I would have been pretty choked.
Funny how there's folks still thinking it was a 'real' album from a 'real' band. I guess it is now.

I was in Albany and pleasantly surprised at how good they sound. When I started seeing the dead in the 80's I would ask heads that saw them in the 70's why they stopped seeing the boys and they would reply "It just doesn't sound the same" for the most part. I understand that response now; I saw my first phish show when Reagan was in office and if I went expecting 1997 Phish I would be (and was for several years) very disappointed. Glad I got over myself and back into the music.
That friday show was my favorite...."old school" (i hate the 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 phish terms etc...this just seemed like a show w alot of old "vibe" to it...mix it in w how well theyre playin and CK5 light show?...wish i was there.)
