The Philton ~ RIP

Well,  that's a shame.  They were very hospitable and had that shuttle from Port Chester.

Wonder what will become of the place ?

Oh noooooo!
I have so many good Zoner memories from there, around the fireplace in the lobby.

^ I recall heading over to town for Breakfast w/ you and JKlowan from RI one Philton morning.

Least I think it was you (I am bad with names).  Then after we went to the Beer store to peruse the selection.

Yes!!! I have photos... Philoween 2016

Hi Paul and Molly.  Philton RIP:  Sad news indeed.  I guess i's now the Philerton.  Hope all well, Andy and Drew

That's very sad.  I had some good times there with y'all.

Thanks for the photos !!  Memories coming back together now.  So my coffee mug reminds me that was the time I brought the espresso machine.  And I forgot about the black baseball hat;  where did that get to ?

^ the husky ate it?

Boohoo!  Such a great place to stay for Phil!!

Nothing lasts.

Being a city kid, I always took the Metro-North home after shoes.

Heard wonderful things about this home on the road 4 PhilOPhile Zoners.

Now that it's ghost, perhaps I can invite everyone to crash in my pad after the next Phil shoe.  smiley

Except that currently social distancing is the norm.  sad

So much 4 that party.  crying

<<Found another article -- they might add an Old Folks Home ?>>>

Meant to add when this thread was active that pre-Covid, I had an idea for a Deadhead retirement home, but it would be in a meadow in the mountains with all kinds of holistic healers and exercise, a top-notch sound system piped in to each room, live performances and a vegetable, cannabis and flower garden for all to tend.

The Philton would be the perfect place to do this, with appropriate modifications, of course.
