Is it all ages? Maybe Melania will take Barron.

We took Esau to Roky Erickson last year.

So it come to pass that Ustream was bought out by IBM. And so in their best interests they decided to do away with the free streaming platform.

I am trying something new tonight; doing the Facebook Live thing. The audio only stream will be found in the "Thanks Taper Rob" group page.

Since this is new to me, i don't have the specific link.

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!

Phil Lesh Collaborates with Twiddle and The Terrapin Family Band at The Capitol Theatre

On Wednesday night, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, hosted the collaborative “Phil-O-Ween” concert featuring a headlining performance from Phil Lesh and Twiddle (appropriately dubbed Phiddle), plus sets from Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band and GEM, featuring Twiddle frontman Mihali Savoulidis and TFB’s Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck.

GEM opened the night—with Savoulidis dressed as Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump, Grahame as Will Ferrell’s Jackie Moon (from Semi-Pro) and Peck donning a pair of devil horns—kicking off their set with two songs from Midnight North, the Bay Area band that also features Grahame and Peck. First up was “Under the Lights,” followed by the Peck-led “Greene County,” which featured guest violinist Jason Crosby. Next up were the elder Lesh and frequent collaborators The Terrapin Family Band, who opened their segment of the show with a couple Dead tunes, “New Minglewood Blues” and “Sugar Magnolia,” bookending a Phil Lesh-led cover of Robbie Robertson’s “Broken Arrow.”

Phiddle, which also included members of TFB, then closed out the evening with a mixture of Dead cuts like “Althea,” “Truckin’,” “Eyes of the World,” “Shakedown Street” and “Bertha” and two original Twiddle songs, “Syncopated Healing” and “White Light,” both off the band’s album Plump. The collective then rounded out the Halloween night with an encore cover of The Band’s classic “The Weight.”

Below, watch pro-shot video from the beginning of each set. Phil Lesh will continue his Capitol Theatre run tonight and tomorrow with two Terrapin Family Band shows featuring Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring.

Too many guitars on stage.  WTF is Alex Koford playing guitar for?  Give him back his percussion kit.

Wow! What a great show. Far exceeded expectations. Somehow they made it work really well with 4 guitars. Super solid start to finish.  Denson shined. Jimmy ripped.

I would like to know how Jimmy really felt about playing with the other three.

^ "meh, it's a pay check."

I'm sure that despite some bumps along the way, Jimmy has fond memories of his days with Phil and is there for more than a paycheck.

<<<<Q>>>>

and, Jimmy's shows with The Other Ones/The Dead were as good as that got.

Tonight's my only show of this run and I'm looking forward to it.

Is this thing on?

How many drummers tonight?

HIIIIIIIya voodoo.  Yes, many guitars.  Could lose one or two.  I am not a fan of this Phil Band.  Tonight is a surprise present.     AHHHHHHHH!!!! STEPHEN!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! (yay)

Shit, even Bob does a better Eleven than that

there was a lot going on there.  did they full on play the 11 or was it just a jam?

Set 2 list.....

Whole Lotta Love before the Eleven

DSC00009a_0.jpg

>> there was a lot going on there.  did they full on play the 11 or was it just a jam?

They ran through the lyrics real quickly, did the 11/12 jam, and then went right back to St. Stephen. Pretty flaccid and felt like a waste with Herring up there

>>Whole Lotta Love before the Eleven

yes, and a significant Allman Bros nod

Grahame's chops have definitely improved. That was a pretty solid Dew finale

who is singing samson?  they should not.

also....encore so far is .. slipknot>NFA crowd clap>Samson?

>> who is singing samson?  they should not.

Ross MF James

He should not sing anything

>who is singing samson?  they should not.

RMFJ

okay.  thanks for the info.  Most enjoyable!  band has improved, jimmy adds a.....je ne sais quoi....and phil is phil that is to say, ever the BIG MAN, lovelovelove.

Salut - to phil!  to all those I love who were in the hall.  May there be more phil, never ending, as if it ever could be.  Sometimes when the love beats hard I imagine that could be true.  Sweet dreams to all the sugarplums XOXO

Jimmy was turned way down and rmfj was taking way too many solos. This was shit too me.

Favorite song of the night was born cross eyed. No idea why 4 guitars. This was weird

I believe last evening was Phil’s 76th show at the Cap.

Phil’s Halloween shoe at the Cap was his 75th Cap shoe.

That means 11/1 was his 76th Cap shoe.

Ipso facto... 11/2 would B # 77.

For those who care about counting shoes.

4 those who don’t; leave it 2 those all caught in counting shoes.

smiley

Actually the drums have gotten much better with Alex on guitar.

This band has picked it up, Phil is singing much more with Elliot supporting.

Rolicking good time last night, especially enjoyed the interplay between Jason and Jimmy.

Phill kept the energy going strong and the rest if the band filled in without too much walk over.

Thanks Dave,

I read about the number of shows and knew it was approaching Phil’s age.
