This camping venue is excellent, one of the best we/ve been to... just don't like the fans' custom of using zip-ties to tie their chairs together several rows back from the stage, literally blocking any in/out movement to the rail. So unlike the west coast!

Wanee Taps Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh and More for 2018 Lineup
This year’s Wanee Music Festival will welcome Phil Lesh to the top of the lineup along with the Terrapin Family Band for their 2018 event stretching April 19-21. Widespread Panic will once again return to headline alongside Lesh as well. The Grateful Dead bassist will make a rare appearance at Wanee with two nights of music (Panic will also play two nights) alongside his Terrapin Crossroads house band.
Additional performers on the initial lineup include Allman Brothers alumni like Marc Quinones’ Eat a Bunch of Peaches project with George Porter Jr. as well as Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and Berry Oakley’s Indigenous Suspects. Pink Talking Fish will also present an ABB tribute set with their “tied to the Whipping Post” show. Chris Robinson Brotherhood, North Mississippi Allstars, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Marcus King Band and others round out the first wave of artists.

The zip tie businesd sounds shitty as fuck. Have been to that venue a million times and haven't seen that, thank goodness. I blame WSP.

The Hoodie Mafia has long arms ... so Wanee peeps had to figure out their own "way" without stepping on any toes to keep peace.

hey Hammer, just saw your
hey Hammer, just saw your questions. Yes, we did regular GA camping. We shipped our camp gear to a buddy's house south of Tampa, then flew to Tampa and drove north to Suwanee after a couple of days at our friend's place. The key thing about the camping: There is a very active Wanee Fest discussion board on the website. I participated on that board for several months, then someone offered to hold us spots since they were arriving early...turns out we are now part of a big Wanee camping crew with people from all over the SE... Had never visited Florida before, so took some days to be a tourist afterward.
Botb -- the year I went and saw the zipties was 2012... no WSP, instead, Further and Allmans and Leftover Salmon, among others. We joked that it was the Allman fan mafia who tied up the chairs. Here's the full lineup -- it was one fun fest! Funniest thing was to see the fest regulars in the camping line -- they all had beer kegs in the backs of their trucks -- different festival rules as compared to Oregon, for sure!
The 2012 event was held April 19–21 and included Furthur, Trigger Hippy, Gov't Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Buddy Guy, Allman Brothers Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Buddy Guy, Bruce Hornsby and Mickey Hart Band, Hot Tuna Electric, Ray Manzarek & Roy Rogers Band, Leftover Salmon, North Mississippi Allstars, Trigger Hippy(Joan Osborne,Jackie Greene, Steve Gorman, Audley Freed, Nick Govrik), Soja, Conspirator, Eoto, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Particle, Devon Allman’s Honeytribe, Zach Deputy, Matt Schofield, Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio, Big Sams Funky Nation, Charles Bradley, Bonerama, Jacob Jeffries Band, The Yeti Trio and Bonnie Blue
