Real feeling that that might have been the last Cap show

Still working on Wednesday's show.   I should get Thursday's Set I in tonight as well (unless I watch some tube.  Doesn't look like there's any work left).

I'd rather wait a day or two and have multiple sources to choose from.  Be able to pause/rewind..  Not sweat the cut-outs/ iginoiz, etc.

So that was two nights of Sco?

>>>Birdsong> (JC)

Crosby sang Birdsong? Is that unusual or has he done that before?

Sending positive vibes to Phil. He did not look well at the end of the night. Couldn't even get his bass off by himself.

I loved it.  Really good.  The hermony(?) singing in Birdsong was great.

>>>>I'm glad that you're at the show, Tracy.<<<<

That makes two of us, Johnny!

>>>>Real feeling that that might have been the last Cap show<<<<

No kidding?

Yikes, Sam & Barry....

(((Phil)))

What a fantastic, high energy show, made all the more sweet when I saw Jojo's face. Had the pleasure of meeting GotJorma, who was sitting right behind me. It was the unofficial zoner section:)

I definitely took note of how unwell Phil looked.  Toward the end of the show, he seemed super tired and weak, and as someone else noted, needed help getting his bass off. You couldn't tell by his playing, though. Rest up, Philheart  and happiest of birthdays to the psychedelic maestro.

>>Real feeling that that might have been the last Cap show

yikes.

Maybe it was too much between the bob run and this run.   Sad to hear this news.

Well that was really the best of the 3, IMO.

"Real feeling that that might have been the last Cap show"

Let's hope so. I mean, I hope it's not the last Phil show, but the overShapitalization of the Phil scene is so played-out at this point.

Thursday night the woman working the Jay Blakesberg table told me Phil had the flu

Don't mean to be an alarmist, just got a vibe. I guess if it was the flu that would explain some of it, but even so, just a feeling that we're getting close to the end of the road here

A few thoughts:

I feel like every time I've seen Phil since his 70th bday had been a gift.

At 78, 10 shows in 16 days in 4 States may have been too ambitious.

Pretty sure Phil plays the Cap now for us and Grahame, not for $$$ or Peter S.

Alex, Jason and Grahame are singing harmonies very well.  At one point last night, Phil was listening to the vocals with s big smile on his face.

Feel better Phil!!!

Agreed, Eddie.  And I think the Flu would explain _all_ of the concerns people had last night.  He'll get over the flu.  I anticipate seeing him again.  I'm sure he has this "not touring" down to a science, where he doesn't have to stand on cold runways, or lug equipment, or stress about anything.  I imagine it's mellow for him - he flies, he shows up, he plays.  Last night was a blast!  They even made Wharf Rat interesting, and I am not a fan of that song.

great night friday.  great meeting you tracy!!!!!  i spot this woman dancin up a storm, then i notice shes posting on the zone lol.  great seeing jojo and robin,, and zeus and his new wife!!!!  congrates on the new one coming.  nice show just what the doctor ordered!!!!!!!

"Let's hope so."

Let's hope not. The Capital deserves a better last Phil show.

"the overShapitalization of the Phil scene"

What does this even mean?  I have nothing but gratitude for the people that produce the shows.  They wouldn't happen without them.

"just a feeling that we're getting close to the end of the road here"

Well yea.  The guy is 78 and living on borrowed time. We've been getting close to the end for years now.

"I feel like every time I've seen Phil since his 70th bday had been a gift. "

Every Phil show since 1999 has been a gift.  It's amazing that he's still going and playing as well as he is.

Thom for once I agree with everything you just said.

missed ya on the rail this week Bob!

Wasn’t in the cards this time Scott. Hope to see you one of these days soon. Keep in touch!
