Killer show; best Blue Sky I've ever heard

Epic concerts these were, once again, Nice to meet some more of you Zonnahs be back for his bday ? peut etre

Tight setlist, did not do the stream but will track that audio down.

Dickey Betts does not need to go on Maury, when it comes to Duane...He is the father!

^ Damn that Franklin's > Blue Sky was fun to watch -- thanks for posting. Duane Betts has been my favorite guest in this entire run.

I have to give Grahame a lot of credit for being the invisible glue in this band.  He's really learned a shit load of legitimate licks that really hold these arrangements together.  He played quite a few Bobby licks this weekend (the good ones too, lol).  His harmonic lead playing blended very well with rest of the band.  Kudos for making the music happen without needing the spotlight!  Would be very interesting to hear isolated tracks from this months run.

An absolutely splendid time. Loved meeting and hanging with some zoners.

Omg Merri Lolol

What till you hear what trouble LLO and I (accent on my ass) made at the taco joint after moonday

Phil is so much the man omg

Meeting R0aR was my second best zoner highlight by far (sorry but a chick wins the top spot)

Really such a special run.

VivaPhil

Omg and YES the Allman vibes of that show were just delicious

BlueSky is all about my man for me <3<3<3

Outstanding guitar work and Phil bombs took the music to some new places this run! Super exciting!

And Shout out to the Zoner floor crew who took flight with "Fly Phil" airlines:) great to hang with you all!

" (sorry but a chick wins the top spot)"

I can't argue with that.

Roarshock were you by chance in the taco place the same time we were?  It was hilarious fun with JLP!

Shout out to Merriweather... I enjoyed oysters in your honor.

Our table neighbors were behaving like jerks. suggested they buy us a round, they agreed. The waiter misunderstood the order and instead puts a pitcher of margaritas in front of me.  I tried to give away refills to other neighbors but there were few takers at that hour.

Oh what a beautiful musical ride this run, truly!

The Fly Phil flight crew flittered by on Monday and then flew on...

Those airline chicks were *almost* as cute as zoners Tiff and Althea that one year!!!

Roar omg that was a surrealistic moment of perfection

You are so exactly who I expected you to be

Only more handsome!

((((Zoner Crushes))))

Jinx LLO!

Thankfully I knew better than to leave the pitcher with that one guy lololol

LLO I should have taken that kid's sticker back

cheeky

^^^  cheeky

nah, generosity is always the best first gesture

I feel like he might get ptsd whenever he sees it tho (;

Tom did you get a button from the venue?

>> I enjoyed oysters in your honor.

Aww, Thanks sweet C :)

Missed our happy hour together this time. I tried to indulge on Monday prior to taking the train into the city for Phantom of the Opera. Was at the door right at 4, in the drizzly rain salivating for a few dozen when I realized they were closed on Mondays! Ugh. I was soooo disappointed.

With my head hung low and my cravings high I luckily found a historic oyster bar in Grand Central Station! The architecture was amazing, the oyster selection plentiful and my cute bartender was heavy handed on the prosecco and pinot noir! Even sliding me an extra glass for the great conversation. Meant to be!

If Phil does a birthday run I think it would be really fun to get a group of zoners to take the train into the city and see a Broadway matinee before the show. The train was cheap, easy and just a 10 minute walk to the theatres. It's been a decade since I've seen Wicked and an afternoon of psychedelics and flying witches would be a hoot!

Glad you all had a great time, sorry I miss Chef Tommy again. :(  I still dream of the fabulous meal he prepared and his wife so effortlessly hosted with a completely full dining room. It seems the whole village enjoys Sunday lunch in the hitherlands, it was magnificent to be a part of it.

Love you phreaks

10/31 show gave good ">".

typical Zoner meet-up

Hey I'm back --  Merriweather I love your idea, please keep me posted on that, and would love to go to that place in GC Station, too.

I shared a lovely meal at an authentic old-school Italian restaurant on Long Island on Sunday with Andy and Chef Tommy .

Epic fun that seemed like a dream -- and sometimes scary journey-- but we made it.... and Tommy's wine picks were spot on.

By comparison, I am back in Portland today and it is eerily quiet here -- seems like the city is recovering after the long holiday weekend.

Fortunately I took the day off and have had fun unpacking, reaching out to friends and reconnecting to real life again.

.... also wanted to offer a review of post-Philton Port Chester:

> Room at Courtyard Marriott Rye was best deal (Under $150/night), a 20-min walk to venue, and good design for Zoner fun in future (if you have a balcony room overlooking central courtyard).... but I didn't care for location next to freeway overpass and a dismal neighborhood around it.    AirBnBs for the win, but there are so few in Port Chester.  That's an opportunity for a good investment with the right property close to the CAP!

>  Though I love the marina setting, Bar Taco has lost its appeal and doesn't accept cash. Too noisy and frantic, but food is still excellent.

> Saltaire Oyster House  oooXXXooo

> New Run and HIde Taproom was excellent -- best bar menu - but not open on Mondays.

> I didn't make it to McShanes or Rye House.   ???

> The guys at the fire station were in fine form and had a new engine to show off, will post images later.

C, I agree that the post Philton PC accommodation experience has greatly diminished. I really had no idea how much I would miss that old place.

Can't believe you got a room at the Marriott Rye for under 150! I need you as my travel agent! When I looked they were running over 350.00 and I thought that was totally nuts. Maybe I was looking at the wrong place but I'm pretty sure I wasn't. My Airbnb in Stamford was great but it was a 15 minute drive, easy peasy unless you run into jlp and she gets you waaaay too baked in the train station parking lot. lol. Spent a half hour sitting there sobering up. I'm such a lightweight since covid.

I used to love the taco place across the street but it's just not what it used to be. No rocking homemade chicken soup to warm you up from the inside out, no smashed avocado guacamole with warm freshly fried tortillas and the churros truly sucked.

IMHO you didn't miss out on Mc Shanes, kind of a greasy spoon dive bar with meh food. Rye House has always been on my radar but their bourbon prices are steep and with that selection I would need a second mortgage to have a really good time.

I completely adore Salt Air but I know it is not every ones cup of tea and it is expensive. Happy hour is relatively reasonable and Manny the oyster shucker is a total pro and a sweetheart to boot. Even though I live at the beach, our "oyster bars" only have one local type of oyster and I just love being able to sample the differences between the east and west coast varieties. Saint and I had lunch there when they first opened. We met the owner, he was fantastic, kind and incredibly passionate regarding who, what, where, when and why each variety was harvested. Plus they had a bouillabaisse that was off the freaking charts!!!!!! I don't eat out much here so I splurge when I'm out of town.

So glad you made the pilgrimage and I wish I could have pulled off more than one weekend so we could have hung out again but as you well know life gets in the way.

Phil was so happy and energized from the crowd I do think March shows are on the table! There isn't a single show in March on the books at the Cap as of right now. Be prepared my fabulous friends and lets keep in touch so when it is announced we can gather together for some serious love, fun, food and hugs!

Merriweather >  I booked that room so many months ago, like same day as the announcements!  I always book a backup room right away because it usually isn't a problem to cancel it later. This time I kept it because I couldn't find anything comparable within walking distance.

Also, because of flights from west coast, I like to arrive a day early... with this run (day off on Sunday), that meant I needed a room for 5 nights -- that qualified me for an additional long-term stay discount!  Now that they've remodeled the bathrooms, it was fine for the price I got, but would never pay more than $200 for that place.

I much rather get a group of Zoners to commit to a larger house rental, but it's so difficult to herd Zoner cats towards that litter box and pay in advance. I get it.

I love to plan travel and always willing to help Zoners find a good deal.

omg renting a house would be the fullON shizz and i am in on that plan

i have a room at the notphiltoncourtyard for the weekends before and after his bday

house is the way to go, tho!

you've got this, our JulieMcCoys!!!!!!!

Anybody seen any audio from this show? That would be nice.

> Anybody seen any audio from this show?

Are you suggesting synesthesia, Roarshock? I'd like a taste of that, or just a touch perhaps.

Thanks, zoners. I want to give this one another listen from beginning to end.

"synesthesia"

Mike Edwards, that word is boss!

Great Unbroken.  Lesh nailed the final high note.

The shows with Goose guy were fast..
