Not as enthusiastic about song selection and general flow compared to last night,  so far...

Going into a lively Pres Hall mini-set now,  that has been Fun last couple shows.

Sounds like crap.  Back to the archive for me.

Listened to most of tonight,  and I'm OK with not attending.  I'm sure they will rest up and come along with some interesting arrangements for Brooklyn & PC.

Not a whole bunch of thrilling Music at this one.

amazing phil travels out east to play this garbage.

you know phil knows it's garbage.

ok...it was wonderfullll   .....more on the later report

I can't  see real good right now....lol !

Nite ~

Place was raging...only garbage is in your living room..

I've heard it was a good time.  Not sorry that I skipped it but glad that folks I know had fun.

I love how people at the show really enjoy it and have a fantastic, memorable night, and people at home doing who knows what think the show is horrible.... every time.  Highlarious, and so telling!!

Yes, it often sounds better when you're there and worse when you're not.

Funny thing about that.

GTTS!

glad folks had fun, too.

jelly roll, my living room is quite clean, i don't like garbage laying around.

it also sounds better when youre high on acid and don't give fuck that phil is throwing down the garbage.

Perception is reality. Especially when you're HoA!

^haha. nice. smiley

I wish there was a link so I could hate it too

U don't have to be high to have a good time ...the band is not garbage....they throw down ....at least peeps stopped complaining  about practice...Practice....

Family band plays one set. They don't need to practice it anymore.

It also sounds better when youre high on acid and don't give fuck that phil is throwing down the garbage. >>>

Not true at all, for me at least :). It was way better than I expected, I went in with an open mind and just super excited to see Phil again ( I think THIS is the big factor here ). I adore Phil and want to experience him, having fun, watching him laugh and play off the other musicians. True it wasn't a top notch line up...but it is Phil people c'mon !!

For me the highlights were Robert Randolph on pedal steel, super twaaang happening ( I like that sort of thing tho...lol ). Nicki I was never a big fan, but she def melded right in and at other moments shined like the only star in the sky ((( Dew , which I was waiting for most of nite...teases ))) exchanging verses with Alex Koford who by the way i dig his voice, he can sing alright !!

I also felt that Jason and Robert had a nice jig going on, but they have play together before back when he played fiddle... we all know that tho !
Def from Unbroken chain to the Dew was my fav groove, but there were other bursts kike the Sweet Jane, jam packed with energy !!

Also Jason came out into the audience and sat next to me ( visiting friends ) ...We spoke a bit and I told him how I enjoy his music and adore him on fiddle from when he first came onto the scene, he is such a nice guy !

As for the "having to be high and everything sounds good " ...I call bullshit because for me, a tune not done good can buzzkill me right into my seat :(  I don't use psychedelics  to "get high"  so much as rather an  accompany ....to the wonderful music I am witnessing !

...and never OVER do it, just enough has always worked for me ...:)

Now , it's off to see Jackie and Anders in Ardmore....a lil bird told me there may be a "special guest", hmmm wonder who is off tonight and in the area :)

Spent the day in the ER with my son , eyelid was sliced. (he is fine, a close call)

Arrived during Tennessee Jed, RMFJ was much more animated and the show was off to a better start than Asbury.

The step up in venue may have given the band a little juice.

The Sweet Jane energized the audience and Robert Randolph was able to show why he was there on Midnight Hour ( a blues song he was familiar with ) after Asbury I did not pay much mind to him.

The rest of the show was par for the TFB, Phil beamed and gave us some gotta get down.

Partial redemption for Thursday night but in whole an uninspiring two nights of music.

My son came to the show and enjoyed got news his housing in Steamboat was approved for the season.
