“Jorma barely played”.. felt exactly the same way with last night’s show..Last night reminded me of Phil with Melvin a couple of years ago, you’d think it would be an immediate slam dunk, but when to solo, how long etc. under Phil could be tricky..Phil kept looking back when Jorma  would drop out and just stand there . No way should anyone be subjected to Graham Lesh soloing as much as he did with Jorma standing a few feet to his right..Several times it felt like a jam would begin to take off then Jorma would end his solo or defer abruptly Last night seemed to be a work out the kinks show, looking forward to tonight..

Let Jorma play!  Let Jorma play!  Let Jorma play!

Last night was awesome.  One of my top favorite Phil and Friends shows I’ve attended at the Capital Theatre.  Jorma was just right.  He played plenty.  He added grit and made it dirty in a good way. Never muddy.  I liked how he threw in Jormesque tones and riffs in spaces  Weir once occupied.  I wish I could go again tonight.   Not being oversold was a plus on the dance floor.  More listeners less talkers. Lesh Philling!

^ it doesn't sound as if Jorma was prevented from playing, but rather that he chose not to.. i really hope he's ready to jam tonight

^^ that's encouraging Trailhead, thanks.

please / i hope someone may  be posting  taperrobs latest audio location since im not sure where his stream is best now  or any mixler/ perisicope for tonight or a posted recording of last night which could appear soon

^ it's not the whole show, but at least a half hour:

Maybe it was cause we got there late...(loose lucy), but, def had a lil trouble gettin into the groove...i thought same as mentioned above, it seemed like a "wrkn" the kinks out" show, although i thought second set watchtower thru wheel was really nice....

Wish i was going tonite, but ill be at Willie/Phil show Sunday, and finances just wont allow a 3 show week.

It was fun catching end of Phish opening night from St. Louis on way home...

good . i will look at . this channel posts shows after there done. jrad phish maybe d and c https://m.twitch.tv/funkyroadsidezoo

This sounds like the Graham showcase. I only saw one song but on I know you rider it didn't look like Jorma played at all. I'm not paying $115 to see this band. I would honestly probably be cool with $80 but this is just getting stupid when Phil plays with better bands at Terrapin for less than half the price

in for tonight, looking forward to the show........

monster setlist!

philsetlist.PNG

was hoping for a few tuna tunes thrown in, maybe tonight.

Prices are sad

Maybe I’m more of a hater but the family band and prices just doesn’t make sense  To each his/her own

God bless music

God bless Capitalism

Get it where you can while you can.  You never know when the last round up will be

>> No way should anyone be subjected to Graham Lesh soloing as much as he did with Jorma standing a few feet to his right..

oof

Graham zzzzzz

I enjoyed the show last night. It did seem that Jorma felt a little out of place on the material he wasn’t familiar with, but certainly not a bad show. I thought he did a great job on Operator, which I really enjoyed. I know You Rider was a good example of a tune Jorma clearly knows, but not Phil’s arrangement.

On another note, things got a bit ugly up by the rail. I’ve never been that close at the Cap. Is everyone always so territorial? Jeez, three times there were literally almost fights, because guys kept coming up & nudging their way as close to the rail as they could & people who had been there the whole time got pissed. Of course alcohol played a factor.

Anyway, most definitely looking forward to tonight.

I'll be seeing Phil, Willie and a few other bands for $6 on Sunday.  Jorma is a legend but it's a crime to pay $80-$100 for him to stoically fumble through GD music.

Currently streaming Facebook Live @ Thanks TaperRob page... hoping to move off that platform soon
