Password Issues

we recently had computer issues which erased all our saved passwords. my viva password included.
i've tried using the temporary log-in to reset my pw, but when i try it requires me to fill in the lost password i'm trying to change, which i obviously can't do.
my question is 'what's a guy need to do to get a new password?'

You can't reset your password
You can't reset your password. It's just how it is. I'm not kidding. You'll get a temporary one that you can't change, so you just have to use it until it gets lost again.

In my experience, password resets rarely are. If you're looking for a fun way to do it, you might want to get yourself a live chicken, slaughter it and pluck it, then strip off all your clothes, rub the chicken blood all over your body and roll in the feathers. After you've done that, go racing out into the street shaking your fists in the air and bellowing ratskrad at the sky. That might not get your password reset, but it sure sounds like big fun to me.

when you try to reset/get new password you receive an email with a link that acts as a one time sign-in. i followed mike e's advice and contacted admin from the menu on the left and they sent me an actual temporary password that then allowed me to change my lost password with one i'm sure i won't forget.
so, you can reset it your password with admin's assistance.
