The Pacific Crest Trail is a 2,663 mile footpath from Mexico to Canada by way of California, Oregon, and Washington. It passes through 25 national forests and 7 national parks.
Mac, who runs the Halfway Anywhere travel blog, filmed a second each day of his epic 5-month journey to produce this beautiful 3-minute video of what he saw along the way.
Frustratingly short bits, but lots of scenery.

Some of that looked familiar.
Some of that looked familiar. I'd love to through hike the PCT and Appalachian Trail. I encountered some AT through hikers once in Virginia when I was dealing with some heavy shit and went up to do a day-hike. These folks had been on the trail for a couple of months, and they were incredibly attuned with their surroundings. They were talking with me from just a few feet away, but were clearly taking in everything all around us simultaneously. It was subconsciously encouraging and calming. One of them was an NHL referee who said he did the hike every off-season to decompress and to stay fit.
Thanks for posting this.
