Unfortunately to many low information voters susceptible to political propaganda.
Propaganda is out of control. Time to place media restrictions on political ads during election season like no more than 33% of commercials may be political during election season. Fuck big media and their political ad profits!!
Most Americans don’t know how many States in the Union and couldn’t point to Vermont on a map, let alone understand the 3 branches of government. What do we expect?
Its every movement that seeks to get people to go vote without making any attempt at educating a citizen on HOW to reach a decision about who to vote for. In other words, pretty much every "get out and vote" movement. Very little is ever dedicated to an agenda free guide on what is being voted on. Every year I have voted, I hear folks say they werent sure of several items/ offices they were being asked to vote on. Have even had a few over the years myself. Just telling people to blindly "go vote" is not enough, regardless of your voting inclinations
Being a politician should be like being a pro athlete where the average career is only 4 to 8 and years and just because you make the team doesn't mean you can't get cut for not playing up to your potential.
So I say use we use our power and vote out each and every incumbent who don't represent their constituency and/or doesn't make every effort to follow through with their campaign promises.
And then vote even those out after 2 to 3 terms.
Fuck all these career politicians who act in the interest of themselves and their lobbies.
Time to pull-back "Presidential Debates" control from political parties. Remember when League Of Women Voters controlled it? Big media should refuse coverage until political parties handoff control. Suppressing 3rd and 4th party candidates is there game.
Hopefully he was pretending to be one of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jaz.

I've always thought voting should be mandatory, a legal obligation with a hefty fine attached if you don't vote.
Big voting days like this one should also be holidays, not just so people have time to satisfy their obligation to vote but also to recognize & celebrate the importance of voting. There should also be mandatory non-partial on-line or in-person study classes so everyone is as up to speed on what they're voting for as possible.
In other words, take it seriously, do it right and get everyone's voice heard.
I could use my adorable kid to endorse all kinds of political causes; but really, she just wants to dress up like Minnie Mouse and get excited about ice cream.

What if all political ads (Ad - Ver - Tise - Ments) just had fotos and viddies of Livestock copulating upon bales of "Legal Tender" ??
That would sum it all up for potential Voters, right ?
Yet another Douche-Bag called my cel phone soliciting political Bullshit moments ago.
If their fake telephone number was able to take calls, I could return their fake call and say "Who is this ??"
But it's all so out of control now.
People have their nose in the Tee-Vee and no reality - life.
Makes you miss the "Old Days" when local mobsters would truck in loads of Zombie voters, and thrash actual voters.

I don't believe I've heard of that movement.
I'm hearing in these comments that some people are to dumb or ill informed to vote,
I certainly wouldn't want any of you making that determination.

Yep. First time we have an election night in Utah knowing that fuckhead Orrin Hatch won't be in office after January! Pharmaceutical industry lackey.
Unfortunately, we'll get Mitt Romney in his stead.
But we may finally get a Democrat as a congressman in our delegation (my district), Ben McAdams beating Mia (Missing In Action) Love.
Thanks to these brave souls for protecting our democracy.
