Ì just read that article and thought it had some depth. Thanks to my brother-in-law, another Mike, for sending it. I don't know how sensitive the Earth's balance is, but I wonder if there will be a little shift if that bus is no longer up here.

I wonder if the Pranksters will have some kind of formal send-off for Furthur. Seems like some psychedelic pageantry is warranted.

There's the Golden Gate Jam on Sept. 7, where there'll be free music to accompany the exhibit mentioned in the story.
I don't know about a send-off in Oregon, but I do know that Jerry's Middle Finger is playing tonight at the WOW Hall. If I could find someone in Portland who would want to run south for the evening, I'd go!
Went last night to their 10PM late show in Portland (DSO played nearby earlier in the evening)... they seemed tired from the previous night's 10PM show in Seattle, same pairing with DSO. JMF had only sold 300 presale tickets but some DSO attendees did show up eventually.
