The jazz guitarist, Tom Guana, is from NY had little to no prior Grateful Dead experience. Drummer Peter Lavezzoli played for Melvin for 10 years and still plays with Florida's Crazy Fingers. Oteil lives nearby and was looking for someone to join his next project, so they rehearsed a little bit and played a show at Suwanee a couple weeks ago. Both Oteil and Pete sing.

Hey that was pretty good... Jazz Dead power trio.

I tried but the stream kept stalling. I asked for, and received a refund, as it was super annoying.
Oteil is fun to watch and seems to be enjoying this fusion-inspired Dead project. Last night they added keyboard. I preferred just the trio.
