Yeah, curry county is like a low key gem dude. Pretty sure Capo Blanco is the furthest west point in the continental US. Mountain Girl lived out there a spell, I think? Maybe Port Orford.
The Mail Boat ride from gold Hill up the lower Rogue River is a fun one.
Most people think there aren't any Coastal Redwoods in Oregon, but you will actually find some decent ones out around Moser Creek.
Elk, Sixes, Pistol, Chetco, NFK Smith... some of the most beautiful wild rivers you could ever swim.
Hwy 101 between Brookings and Port Orford is one of the nicest stretches of highway in the US.

Miller Bar on the Chetco River is a fun spot.. Ample dispersed camping right on the river. It can be sort of a big redneck beach party at times, but there is plenty of room to spread out and excellent swimming.
Humbug Mountain has great camping right near the beach. Very uncrowded part of the Oregon Coast.

I visited Arcata, CA and was so taken by that town. I'd like to stay there and then drive up the coast, crossing into southern Oregon along the coast.
