One last Party Out Of Bounds - Final B-52s tour

Forums:

From the first moment that I heard Dance This Mess Around in a club before the release of their first album, The B-52s struck a chord in my musical soul that no other band seems to fill. Unique, fun, silly...they all describe one of the bands that always puts a smile on my face and gets me toes a tapping. Their album, Cosmic Thing, coming off of a disbandment was my musical comforter in early sobriety that pulled me through some very tough times.

I'm going to miss, Keith, Cindy, Fred and, most of all, Kate, but you can bet I will see them live at least one final time.

B-52s put on a fun, high enegry show.   But "final" tour?   Hmmm.   How long have KISS and the Who been on their "final" tours?

I hear ya on KISS and The Who but I would lay money on this being the last go around for The B-52s. They aren't the money minting machines that those other groups are.

never been. should go.

Upon re-reading the press release for the above tour, I saw that this tour is announced as the final tour on Planet Earth, not the final tour.

I guess it's time for me to make friends with Elon Musk so I can hit the other planets.

that Fox Theater show is gonna be wild.

Not my bag. Have a blast.

Devo mines similar territory, but I digress.  I'd imagine this tour will be a fun time, with a bittersweet tinge.  I saw them back in the early 80's at Merriweather Post Pavilion on the Wild Planet tour, and remember having a great time.  Agreed that the finale at the Fox will be off the hook.

Is there a code for the pre-sale?  and if there is could someone let me know what that code is? Thanks!

Cologne and leather jackets everywhere

I'm having a hard time with the pairing of the B-52s and KC & The Sunshine Band. Sure, they're both dance bands, but that's like saying Chihuahuas and Great Danes are both dogs.

Love me some B-52s though.

Cologne and leather jackets everywhere

I can understand more cologne than the usual GD related crowd but wearing a leather jacket to a 52s show is probably not something that one would do if they valued their health considering the bands long standing support of PETA and veganism. A large portion of the audience aligns with that.

p.s. Much of the GD related crowd could probably use some cologne.

Might as well wish Kate Pierson a happy birthday today on this thread.
