Was looking forward the the White House Correspondents making fun of the clowns in attendance and this shit happens.   Not into conspiracy theories, but come on.  Schtick is getting old

Seriously, Ken!  Unbelievable.

Here's a NYT gift link w/ live updates and video > https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/04/25/us/trump-correspondents-dinner-s...

The fact that suggesting it might have been rigged" isn't considered completely ridiculous and tossed immediately into the Wacko file says a lot about our current situation.

I generally don't believe in conspiracies because I don't believe people can keep their mouths shut, but every time Don the Con has been seriously on his heels something like this has happened, and in this particular case, when considering Occam's Razor I'm actually leaning away from the idea of random kooks being to blame.

Because these days our kooks aren't random, they're organized.

And anything the president doesn't like is "fake" and "rigged" without anyone batting an eye no matter how absurd or detached from reality.

Ok.  I will play along.  This and Butler were rigged.

either you see it or don't

it's about the ballroom

which will be his bunker for when he doesn't leave office

now I got to scrape together some do re mi

and go hard on this polymarket thing

One thing that disgusted me is the narcissistic asshole claiming they only go after presidents who are effective.

No, they go after people who create levels of hate and contempt rarely seen in this country. To use his phrase, "No one 's seen anything like it."

Oh yeah, don't forget the need for the ballroom, as if the correspondent's dinner would book it for the occasion.

Seeing that pic, maybe that mind reader can tell us what he was thinking!

Weird that they got Vance off the stage before Trump.

The alleged perp is a respected and talented teacher and video game designer, who was a good student with no declared political affiliation,  who participated in Christian campus groups.  He's also not talking.

yea ken, now we just call them theories

Ear we go again...

The fact that all the maga loony influencers are all getting the same memo makes me think it's a distraction from the Epstein files and not really a push for the far less controversial ego ballroom

WOW! ^^^ Are we shocked?

I don't have any gift links left this month, but pasting a fascinating related story below.
If you have an interest or background in legal world, encourage reading the ridiculous motion to the court, linked in the first para.

Adopting Trump’s Voice, Justice Dept. Asks Judge to Let Ballroom Proceed

The court filing links the security breach at the White House correspondents’ dinner to the lawsuit over President Trump’s ballroom project.

The Justice Department filed a remarkable motion late Monday, written in President Trump’s recognizable online voice, explicitly linking the security breach at the White House correspondents’ dinner to the lawsuit over the president’s ballroom project.

The motion, signed by the acting attorney general, Todd Blanche, and submitted by Stanley Woodward Jr., attacks the litigation against the ballroom the same way Mr. Trump has on social media. It asks Judge Richard J. Leon to backtrack and allow construction on the project to continue.

A court of appeals has already paused Judge Leon’s earlier ruling until arguments in June. But the Justice Department’s latest motion makes an attempt to sway the litigation in the meantime, while taking the opportunity to flatter the president in dramatic terms.

“Because it is DONALD J. TRUMP, a highly successful real estate developer, who has abilities that others don’t, especially those who assume the Office of President, this frivolous and meritless lawsuit was filed,” the filing states. “Again, it’s called TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

The style of the motion leaves no doubt about the president’s significant influence over the decisions of the Justice Department. While parts of the motion are written in a traditional legal style, many sections are indistinguishable from the president’s combative posts on Truth Social.

“‘The National Trust for Historic Preservation’ is a beautiful name, but even their name is FAKE because when they add the words ‘in the United States’ to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, it makes it sound like a Governmental Agency, which it is not,” the motion begins.

In the motion, the Trump administration asked that Judge Leon issue an indicative ruling — a nonbinding opinion signaling how he would approach the question if the case were returned to him. Such a ruling could inform the appeals court ahead of its decision but would not immediately dissolve the earlier injunction or otherwise end the case.

There was little indication that Judge Leon would do so, after repeatedly rebuffing government lawyers in court over claims that he could not intervene in matters involving national security.

Since the attempted attack at the dinner on Saturday, Mr. Trump and his allies have begun ramping up their push to dismiss the lawsuit filed by historic preservationists against the ballroom, which Mr. Trump has attempted to build without the approval of Congress. The lawsuit from the National Trust for Historic Preservation was filed after Mr. Trump abruptly tore down the White House’s historic East Wing without seeking approval from any oversight body.

Shortly after a gunman was arrested rushing toward guests at the Washington Hilton, Mr. Blanche wrote a letter to the historic preservationists, demanding they drop the suit and accusing them of putting Mr. Trump’s life at “grave risk.”

The National Trust has declined to voluntarily drop the case, despite pressure by a constellation of conservative voices online.

In a letter to the Justice Department on Sunday, Gregory Craig, a lawyer representing the National Trust, rejected calls to dismiss the suit.

“What Saturday’s awful event does not change is that the Constitution and multiple federal statutes require Congress to authorize construction of a ballroom on White House grounds, and that Congress has not done so,” the letter said.

Even if pushed through at an accelerated timeline, the planned ballroom would not be ready for use until near the end of Mr. Trump’s term.

Congressional Republicans have also ramped up their efforts since the breach to push for funding for Mr. Trump’s ballroom, which the president said previously would be funded completely through donations from wealthy businesses and individuals.

Senator Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican and chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, said on Monday that he wanted Congress to move legislation as quickly as possible to provide $400 million for construction of a secure White House ballroom that would also house national security facilities beneath it.

“Private donations can be used, but I think they should be used for buying china and stuff like that,” Mr. Graham said.

The senator said Mr. Trump constantly brings up the ballroom to him “all the time,” even in unrelated conversations about golf or how he’s feeling.

“Like, ‘How you doing?’ ‘Where’s the ballroom?’ ‘How you playing?’ ‘I don’t know. I’d play better if you built the ballroom,’” Mr. Graham said of his conversations with the president. “It’s all the time.”

Best comment on this post: "So it's just an Assport now?"

glad i already got mine

Likewise, JLP!

Mine is good for another 4 years.

A U.S. passport will have a photo of a 34-time convicted felon on it.

Who knew how easy it would be to achieve "Failed Nation Status" by our own standards? Thanks to the GOP, which allowed Trump's values to replace the Founding Fathers'.

"We are a nation of laws" is a foundational American principle attributed to John Adams, emphasizing that society is governed by established legal frameworks rather than the arbitrary whims of individuals. It signifies that laws apply equally to all, including leaders, ensuring stability and justice.

what country would you be welcome in with a Trump passport ?

Maybe Russia

North Korea

oops not Hungary anymore

after a decade of this, and with the knowledge of 2025plan, i will never know how anyone is surprised about any of what has happened. especially after the first go round where guardrails of a measure were still in place, and now his autocrat status is fully cemented in place

* bought the media>>silencing journalists

*instills sycophants

*says who he is out loud in your face

if there are midterm elections the results won't matter anyway

we need a revolution

Unbelievable post.  King of the Burger King monarchy on the right.

Just got my renewed passport issued April 1. Even if I am a fool at least I don't have to carry around that motherfucker's picture to travel.

The arrogance is mind boggling. He is temporarily occupying the office of president. He is not king, and he sure as hell is not god.
