There were some really good groups playing at the Oregon Country Fair this weekend; any reviews? The local public radio station used to broadcast every day from the Main Stage but they didn't on Friday, the day I probably wanted to hear the most. Surfdead? Treble? others?

I've been surprised this year
I've been surprised this year about no OCF thread. Sounds good on KLCC now.
Not my cup much anymore, too much Faerieworld,. not enough rock.

One toddler is now Twelve years old. The Infant is about Six, and Mama & Papa split up.

Best thing I heard so far was
Best thing I heard so far was Lebo and friends - once at the main stage Fri. and once at the Hoarse Chorale on Sat. That one was the better of the two, w/ Lebo joined by RMFJ, Scott Law, Alex Koford, and a bass player whose name I can't recall. Mark Karan also sat in for a couple.
'Twas amazing!
CalKind was also purty good on the main stage, as was Jim Page at Shady Grove, although I've seen him better.
Also can't forget the Sgt. Pepper set, (with some additions and subtractions) by Abbey Road. Big crowd pleaser.

Saw Karl Denson yesterday - just wow! An unstoppable funk machine.
Denson said it was his first Fair experience, and he was going to "go crazy" after the show. He asked us all to take care of him while he was doing that.

I drove home from Corvallis
I drove home from Corvallis and listened from the beginning of Karl Denson's set on Sunday. After 20 minutes or so it seemed like the music was too big for my car - it kept growing. I turned it off and the ride was better.
