Had a great time Tuesday night at Terrapin Crossroads. You probably didn't see this on the free webcast but I noticed our hero Phil having a hard time getting up and down the stairs to the stage after set 2 and before and after the encore. House staff shinning light onto stairs and there to help catch Phil should he fall. Don't be fooled by Phil playing bass like a youngster but he's 78 years old and shouldn't be on the road much if at all. Terrapin Crossroads is doing a good job protecting Phil. Their asset & our asset.
I message to all those complaining on this site about Phil not getting a band of friends together for a show near you. Get over yourselves! Maybe try some ego-death to calm your me me I I wants. If you want to see Phil w/ friends you better grab a plane ticket to NorCal or the Cap soon when it happens. Let the man age and spend time with his family (& family band) if that's what he wants. The man has done enough for this community.
Sorry to go on the attack but just felt this needed to be said!!

I noticed the same on the webcast watching Phil walk off stage. Good words Nugs. I have been to TXR a few times and have encouraged my east coast friends to make the pilgrimage if they can, and soon. This year I saw Phil at Crystal Ballroom and Red Rocks, luckily he will be nearby on July 21. Go to the show!

Well said. We noticed his slow walk on the web stream, too.
We are amazed that he's traveling as much as he has already this year.
Cherish those Phil moments!

“Those who know don’t talk.
“Those who know don’t talk. Those who talk don’t know. Close your mouth, block off your senses, blunt your sharpness, untie your knots, soften your glare, settle your dust. This is the primal identity. Be like the Tao. It can’t be approached or withdrawn from, benefited or harmed, honored or brought into disgrace. It gives itself up continually. That is why it endures.”

I hear ya turts. I recommend getting on the email list otherwise shows sell out before you even hear about them half the time. Plus gives you time to book a cheap flight.
