I wonder how David Nelson feels about playing NRPS gigs now that he is the only one still alive from the classic lineup. Surely, he and the rest of the band expected this sad inevitability.
I'm sure David and the band can still play good music as NRPS with Sless or somebody else on pedal steel. I'm curious about how he may feel personally, whether he will continue as NRPS for the money, for the love of playing the music, or both.
The decision to go out as NRPS was made knowing that Biddy couldn't be there. the show must go on. that said, I am sure these are hard times for David, first Bob Hunter and now Buddy.

Buddy?
Buddy?
I think that's extremely unlikely.
Pete Grant or Sless would do that music justice...

Nice to see NRPS name on a bill again, for sure. I definitely wouldn't take this as a signal that Buddy is back in action.

The Village is a cool place to see a show. Wasserman/Weir played there in the 80's. Used to have shows all the time and then it suddenly stopped.

Dawson toured around as the NRPS with nobody else from the classic lineup for years. Saw them a few times and thought they did the music justice.

Hard times for David for sure
Hard times for David for sure, but he loves playing with the other members of the band(NRPS). He will continue when he can.
