North Korea should be the hot topic.

Forums:

This thread is not political.

It's too important to be in a dead political folder?

Maybe Trump is right: 60+ years of ignoring has led us to this, and we need to do something different.

But, is one crazy mofo prodding another crazy mofo the right thing to do? Is it realistic to think that Kim is going to abandon his nuclear hopes? Does Kim give a shit about mutually assured destruction?

Trump is right... we spend too much time being mortified by what he is saying, distracting ourselves from the actual topics at hand

By all means, the only nation to nuke another nation should decide which nations have nukes [eye-roll emoji].

Un doesn't want to interrupt his booze or porn pipelines, much less glow in the dark.

Maybe it's time to have a formal peace treaty for the Korean War. This long-term armistice is a bit tenuous.

When a crazy person spews crazy words, you should stay calm or ignore them rather than screaming crazy shit back at them.

I'm watching golf, listening to music and zoning. I don't know what Fly or our politicians are doing.

oddly, I have never heard the leader of North Korea actually SAY anything

>>When a crazy person spews crazy words, you should stay calm or ignore them rather than screaming crazy shit back at them.

You talking about Trump or Kim?

You talking about Trump or Kim?

Yes.

Are there foreign policy experts here? I thought it was just burnouts with GD on repeat.

When they start evacuating Americans from Seoul and two carrier strike groups and other significant reinforcements are deployed to the Korean Peninsula, that's when you need to start worrying.  Until then, it will just be trading taunts, insults, and threats.

I don't know, Chach, but there are people who care, who have opinions and may want to talk about it. What's your point in posting in the thread? To make yet another vapid comment?

Talk about the thread topic, not the people posting in it. Thanks.

I'm addressing you directly, no passive/aggressive trolling. You should try it.

Honestly, why are you here? Do you think you're funny or cute? It's old and tired.

North Korea should be A topic, but not the only topic. Let's not forget Russian involvement in Trump's ascendancy, and other topics Trump provides as diversions.

>> It's old and tired.

thanks for sharing

What more can we do about Russia? We're paying for a years long investigation.

What can we do about Charlottesville?

What's your opinion on the whole Korea mess!

Un's troll skills are next level

In the back of my mind is that Trump and Putin colluding in trying to thin out our forces by starting another conflict in another hemisphere just to set us up

I just read a comment by Janis Ian on Facebook:

"A thought for the weekend...
IS TRUMP TRYING TO PROVOKE WAR WITH CHINA?"

Getting China involved in the North Korean threats...

I think Trump can be provoked into a preemptive attack.

I also believe Trump is willing to go to war in an attempt to rally the country behind him.

And when it comes to the news, war leads over the Russian investigation.

30% of people that voted in the last election don't know what party is more conservative.

Trump got what he wanted from china when they allowed him all of those patents in china for his brand, now they own him. China was part of his money grab and he is satisfied, its all just postering for aesthetics now

Trump is in no way trying to provoke a war with China.  China in no way wants a war. China has amassed troops along the N. Korean border to keep out the massive number of refugees from N. Korea if a war was started.

Why do people tell other people how to post?

Because we're part of the real world when it comes down to it, Bro, warts and all

ATLANTA - Former United States President Jimmy Carter released a statement Thursday after the recent comments made back and forth between United States officials and North Korea.

Here is the statement:

"The harsh rhetoric from Washington and Pyongyang during recent months has exacerbated an already confrontational relationship between our countries, and has probably eliminated any chance of good faith peace talks between the United States and North Korea. In addition to restraining the warlike rhetoric, our leaders need to encourage talks between North Korea and other countries, especially China and Russia. The recent UN Security Council unanimous vote for new sanctions suggests that these countries could help.  In all cases, a nuclear exchange must be avoided. All parties must assure North Koreans they we will forego any military action against them if North Korea remains peaceful.

I love Jimmy Carter's wisdom and calm presence.

There will not be any war with N Korea.

Well not until the Minister of Foreign Affairs for S Korea gets back from vacation.

Dennis Rodman (an Apprentice) set this up for 45 weeks ago

Some folks look for answers

Others look for fights

North Korea only makes the news around every April and August that is because the US has regularly scheduled military exercises on the peninsula.  North Korea knows it and uses it as their excuse to test missiles thus causing our press to go apeshit and congress signing more checks for  weapons sales.

It doesn't help that the US is forcing the THADD system on South Korea against their will and now trying to convince Japan to buy it as well.

China wont stop the missile tests because they want to see the THADD light off so they can learn from it.

Let's not be too casual about all this. If a shooting war develops, it's been estimated that casualties will be over a million on "our side", many more on the "other side". If nukes are used, even if it doesn't expand into an all-out nuclear war, the radiation from all of those nuclear explosions will be wafting over us a few days later, contaminating soil, crops, water, and everything else.
